Excellent choice for the football. Clean rooms with good shower, pub and food next door and takeaways just down the road. Car park too. Greene King is not my favourite beer, but if it has to be GK they could at least keep the cask ale going. Why is it always OK for GK not to offer cask ale??

Staff were easy to deal with. Looked for a change to twin room as previously discussed, but didn't work out on arrival. Some of the accommodation area is in bad need of an uplift.

The fire alarm kept going off in the evening which totally spoilt our nights stay as we were very tired after driving from Surrey. I think a refund is appropriate.

Staff fine food fine . Again 2 time in 2 weeks different green king photos beds are very uncomfortable. Bathroom not particularly clean especially the Bath . Also customer service if your in need of help is non existent . Won’t be staying again.

This was an ideal place to stay, stayed a couple of nights with no complaints at all. The lady on reception was very nice and the rest of the staff were all kind and polite and happy to help with anything. I enjoyed my couple of nights here and would highly recommend staying here.

Booked for 2 nights at this hotel. After an average meal in the restaurant we checked in to our room. The room was terrible dirty very small beds carpet thread bare insect repellent boxes in between beds the bath had more chips than enamel on it shower was terrible. We complained and was moved to another room much the same as first but without the insect boxes. Even the manager agreed that the place was falling down around them. Would definitely not recommend this hotel

Can’t praise the staff here enough . Very friendly and considerate. Arrived early so had some lunch before check in and food menu caters for all. Breakfast was equally delicious. I would definitely return here with future trips to the area. Well done everyone 🤗

We were running late to tried to call ahead to arrange a late check in. Unfortunately the AI receptionist "Charlie" was almost impossible to get past unless you ask directly for the front desk. Called at least 10 times before got an answer from a really decent chap called Matt. Obviously overworked and understaffed, he was the highlight of the stay, and sorted us out when we arrived. Parking is good, food is fine but the hotel is suffering from under investment. Room was spacious but not pleasant at all. Stains on the carpet and mould, hair and dust in the bathroom. In some areas of the room there was a strong smell of stale urine. We may just have been unlucky, but it was late and I didn't want to bother poor Matt again to change rooms. The room needed a thorough deep clean from top to bottom. Super location though, and two thumbs up for Matt!

Great value

Only downside- Blackburn Rovers were at home (stadium across the road), torrential rain and the car park was fenced off so had to run about trying to find someone (sitting inside in the dry) to let us in. Rooms are large, very clean and the reception staff were great. Have stayed here 3 times now and would stay again
