The house was greatâclean, well-stocked, and in a convenient area. When we arrived, half of the upstairs lights didnât work due to a circuit breaker issue, but a polite handyman came the next day and fixed it quickly.Our trip was to take my three sons to the Saturday night Boise game, which was amazing. Unfortunately, when we returned around midnight, the door code no longer worked. I messaged and texted the host but received no response. After waiting 30 minutes outside, VRBO advised calling a locksmith. Thankfully, one of my sons climbed through a second-story window he had left open, allowing us back in.No one from the property contacted me until the next morning. I requested a late checkout, hoping for understanding, but was still charged a 45 fee, which I paid. Later that day, I found the door code had again been deactivated, though this time the host responded.The house itself is very nice and I would recommend it, but the lack of communication was unacceptable. Being locked out at midnight with no response from the host is not something any guest should experience. I documented the issue and confirmed that the error was due to the host not keeping my access code active for my full stay.
