It's a very nice hotel, clean and well presented, we stayed in a room for a disabled person which was wide enough for her wheelchair and wide doors so overall very pleased. There was one thing in the room that could be improved is to put in a larger sink
Very nice, floors very creaky. Water pressure dropped during shower.
The concept is good.
Breakfast was very good, something for everyone
Maybe need air-conditioning, as keeping windows open was noisy.
It was very average stay, the smell of old house can be felt, not the cleanest furniture, some small marks form spilled coffee etc. the weirdest thing is when the housekeeping came 10 am and knocking loudly, saying you need to leave, while on the door it was saying 11 am, I said give me 10 mins , but she came back banging saying I need to clean the room go. Haha it was funny in a way. Anyway below average experience
The code system works well. Breakfast system is well operated.
Our room was next to an extractor fan for a restaurant and was noisy until the early hours of the morning.
There was no way of ventilating the room so it became too warm, even in April.
Itâs ok here, for a hotel in a town that has seen better days. A nice big room (8), clean, well maintained with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was more than big enough, with a huge walk in shower. Pity about the spots of dirt and mould in the bottom rear corners.
The room even has its own outside sun deck. The big sticking point though is the nearby business that has its kitchen extractor fan screaming away until half past one in the morning. I realise itâs out of the hotels control, but it affected the quality of my sleep, and therefore the overall experience.
Still Iâve paid more and stayed in places that donât come anywhere near the standard of the Stanley.
Spotlessly clean, well-equipped and spacious room.
Reported a problem with the shower that was attended to immediately.
Town centre location was a little noisier than a previous stay in a nearby sister hotel but breakfast facilities here were better
