Communication was rather poor. I asked a question through the Vrbo app upon making my reservation. I received no response. I texted the owner upon arrival as directed to. I received no response. The only communication we had was when we were asked not to stand on the front lawn. Quiet hours from 8pm to 8am which is not disclosed on the listing. The bathroom had ants and we could not leave our items in there because of that.Listing showed a large amount of k-cups for the kuerig. There were none. Overall, we expected more from a self proclaimed 5-star stay.

While the location is ideal and the space has some lovely attributes, we found the basement apartment to feel stifling and unpleasant. It's was also much louder than expected, as we heard the hosts walking and talking overhead, which is probably to be expected in a basement. We ended up moving on after one night. It just didn't live to to its lofty description and wasn't where we wanted to spend our time in Boulder.

Very nice, clean, and large basement apartment with a terrific shower and fireplace. Owners live in the main house and were promptly responsive to questions. Ideally located to Pearl St., which was a 5 minute walk. No stove or oven which we didn’t care about though some guests might. It’s also not accessible since you have to walk down a short flight of stairs to access.

Awesome stay near downtown boulder!

We had a great time visiting Boulder staying in this VRBO. The check in process was easy and quick and everything was super walkable to the restaurant/bars/shops/everything that you could ever want really in downtown. The apartment is downstairs in their home and it was very easy and quiet with either of us disrupting each other.

Great location and very friendly hosts. The basement was less private than anticipated when booking, with only a glass door separating it from the upstairs. We knew the hosts would let us know if they needed to come down to use the fridge or washer/dryer, but we still felt a bit uneasy as they have complete access. It was also quite warm, even with the portable A/C unit. The cleanliness was okay; there was quite a bit of cat hair and longer female hair in the bedding and carpet, though it could have been worse. It is evident it has been used for years compared to the advertised pictures and needs some updates or a deep clean. The host’s restaurant recommendations were fantastic. Postino’s, Snooze, and Sweet Cow are musts! Overall, the price felt pretty high for what it was—you’re really paying for the location. We’d definitely be back to Boulder, as it was a really neat place but we personally would stay somewhere more private and cleaner.

Great location to walk to Pearl Street Mall, Restaurants and Bars. Close drive to great areas for hiking. Property was as pictured; clean and easy to access. On street parking was nice. We would stay again.

In-state Vacation to Celebrate Our Wedding Anniversary

Convenient parking in front of house with short walk to private entrance. Very spacious setting, many times larger than the average hotel room. Some nice retro touches such as a custom brick shower and a brick archway leading into a living room area, separate from the bedroom area. The antique hardwood floors added a nice touch. All the equipment and supplies for a longer stay were available. Only a short, safe walk to the Boulder mall area. All in all, no complaints, only satisfaction....Ron & Katrina

Perfect downtown Boulder experience

Hosts excellent in providing all you could need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, information and timely responses where appreciated. Walking distance to the Pearl Street area was exactly what we were hoping for and the few blocks there through the residential area was a beautiful walk. Will return & recommend to friends and family.

Last Minute Booking

I booked this property last-minute for a quick stay from Denver and found it exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and situated in a stunning historic Boulder neighborhood. Though I only stayed for one night instead of two, the location alone makes it a great choice. Communication with the host was limited, but I didn’t require much interaction. Highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in one of the best areas in Boulder!
