Nestled in a peaceful grove within the Mountain Cabin development at Boyne, this home offers extra privacy and a serene forest setting.

The Woods Chalet connects to the Johnny Mac Ski run, which is serviced by the Alpine Lift. Please note that the chairlift this property uses for slope-side access has a schedule that is subject to change, and we recommend visiting the Boyne Mountain website for the most up-to-date lift schedule during your stay.


BOYNE MOUNTAIN RESORT INFO
Boyne Mountain offers year-round activities for every season. Many experiences are complimentary, while others are available directly through the resort for an additional fee. In the warmer months, enjoy bonfires at the main lodge, yard games, and community events. For more adventure, try ziplining, horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, golf, or scenic chairlift rides during summer and fall. When the snow arrives, hit the slopes for some of the Midwest’s best skiing, snowboarding, and cross-country trails. The resort also features the Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark, a guest favorite for all ages. We had a few hiccups with cleanliness and organization at the beginning of our stay. The property manager took care of everything efficiency and grace. We were grateful how she handled everything. Deer Lake, which we were so looking forward to because of the shallow waters for the children, was very dirty. The beach was covered in goose manure making it difficult to even enter the water without stepping in it. It made the whole atmosphere seem very unclean.

Ski trip with teenagers and friends

Good location and accommodations. Driveway is relatively steep and tricky with 4 inches of snow. Host contacted snow removal company when I asked and they plowed the driveway the next day. Hot tub was snowed in. I had to shovel around the hot tub for about 10 minutes to get the back clear for the cover to open. Minor things and overall a great stay.

4-Day Ski Trip

Perfect set up for our two family with five children total. Two bedrooms for each couple to stay in and then two bedrooms for the boys in one bedroom and the girls in another. Both kid bedrooms were in the basement, it was the kids area! Hot tub was very relaxing after a day of skiing. To help better understand the ski in/ ski out access, I'll try my best. When you leave the front door of the cabin you turn left and walk approximately 50 steps up a fairly steep driveway. Then you cross the road and have a short trail, approximately 50 yards long going down hill that is not groomed. You can ski down this trail that is about 10 yards wide. Then you reach a run that is groomed and the lift is just a short distance down the groomed run, maybe 100 yards or so. I hope this helps, but we will be back next year for sure! Great communication via text messaging with the management company.

Great property and easy operation, no hassles.

The cabin is on a great hillside lot and the building itself is well-maintained with a great floor plan to accommodate everyone eating and hanging-out together or splitting up. The kids loved having the walk-out basement to play and the bedrooms are isolated enough where the early sleepers were never bothered by the up-late people. The hot tub was nice and big too; it came in handy to loosen-up this old snowboarder's soreness after trying to keep up with my kids. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything you need to cook for everybody. I would say that this rental over-delivers it's online profile; highly recommended.

Honeymoon

After months of wedding planning and packing, my husband and I wanted a week to relax and recover. I told him my requests were a hot tub, a fireplace, a king size bed, and some scenery. This chalet more than met my requests. Obviously this is a great place for ski season, but it’s also great for a quiet getaway during the off-season. The fall colors were unlike any we’ve seen before. I highly recommend, and we hope to return!

Great Vacation

This was our sixth time visiting Boyne and our sixth property to stay at. The property certainly did not disappoint. There was lots of room for our group. The property was clean and spacious. It is at the end of a side road by itself so very private. The cabin itself is rustic yet inviting. It is set back in the woods with nice views from the back deck.

Excellent location, quiet, plenty to do. Only issues were a shortage of towels and toilet paper. Also had a problem with the clothes dryer. It was a unfamiliar type (invented recirculating) and finally found the operating instructions on the floor beside the machine.

Our family of 2 adults and 3 kids (ages 10-17) stayed 3 nights to enjoy golf, Boyne Mountain, and Lake Charlevoix. The cabin’s location is great for those wanting to use Boyne’s amenities. It’s also private compared to the other Mountain Cabin units because it’s tucked into a little wooded lot. The cabin itself was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. We enjoyed the back deck with hot tub for 6. Check-in and communicating with the rental company was very easy. Thanks for a great stay!
