Located at 9,600 feet in the heart of Brian Head, Lazy Bear Cottage is in a perfect location spring, summer, fall or winter! Why rent a condo with potentially noisy neighbors when you can have a cottage to yourself!
It is located between the two main lift areas (a half mile from both lifts) and on the ski shuttle route. It is a quick 10 minute walk to the ski lifts, restaurants and the General Store. During the winter, there are miles of cross-country and snowmobile trails throughout the area. There are also snow tubing and sledding hills for kids of all ages!
When the snow has melted, the Brian Head area offers some of the best hiking, mountain biking and trails in Utah. With nearby lakes, bring your rod and reel to enjoy a day of fishing or to dip your toes! There are also many ATV trails throughout the area that connect to different towns, including Duck Creek.
Decorated in rustic antiques, this cozy two story 800 sq foot cottage is a perfect place to "snuggle" and create memories! It has two bedrooms and one bath with a shower, kitchen with a new refrigerator, new electric start gas range with oven, 4K Roku TV to stream your favorite shows, Blu-ray DVD player and a gas furnace rated fireplace. It has a large front porch and a large rear deck with a new gas BBQ grill and gas fire pit. The cottage is convenient to all Brian Head has to offer, yet is backed up to forest land with a view of meadows and mountains. All cooking utensils are provided as well as paper goods, soaps and linens.
The main bedroom has a queen size bed and the upstairs second bedroom has two twin size beds. There is a twin sized couch in the upstairs TV room/loft.
Located on 1/4 of an acre, you have enough room to spread out and have some privacy! It has woods in the back for you to explore and freshly paved parking on the side of the cottage for your boat/ATV/Razor trailer. For your safety and the safety of your property, security cameras are located on the exterior of the cottage.
This is a non-smoking cottage. You may smoke on the front or back porch. Please properly dispose of cigarette butts. No illegal drugs (including marijuana) are allowed. Deposit will be kept if violated.

Failure to disclose pet(s) or size will result in forfeiture of your security deposit. PLEASE disclose all pets!!! Please pick up pet waste and do not allow them to pee/poop on the front or back porch! Please be confident your pet will not have an "accident" on the carpet due to it being in an unfamiliar place. Out of consideration for future guests and potential allergies, cats are not allowed.
The cottage IS NOT handicapped accessible. If you have breathing or respiratory issues, please be aware of how the elevation may affect these issues.
During the winter months, the main road and the cottage parking area right off the main road is plowed, but due to plows only being able to work during daylight hours, please use caution if you are checking in after sunset. In the event your trip is during or after a snow storm, please be aware you may have to walk in the snow. The parking area is plowed upon 6 inches of snow, so you may need/want to do some light shoveling of the parking area and/or porch. Chains or snow tires may be required. Cozy cabin, indeed! Snug accommodations meant we were on top of each other, but that's what our family treasures - to see all four walls and everyone we love in the same spot. Some nice perks: gas grill, gas fire pit, toboggans, wi-fi with Roku, complete kitchen (just look on the wall for the utensils!

Our family of four had a great time at the cozy cabin! We were there during a huge snow storm & it was an incredible place to weather the storm. The house is heated by the fireplace, which works great & adds to the cozy feel. The city did a great job plowing the roads & shovels were supplied by the cabin to clear the path. We had 2 adults, 2 kids, & our sweet dog in our group. I would definitely recommend not having any more than 2 adults in your group due to the size. The cabin was adorable & beautifully decorated, but a little claustrophobic, especially the bathroom. It would probably feel more roomy if we didn’t have all our ski gear crowding the house. The stove top would only work if using a lighter to get it going & the oven was a challenge as well, which I have notified the owners of. It was nice the owners supplied a couple k cups for the kuerig coffee machine. The location is nice. It was a couple minute drive to either ski lift. If the weather is nice, you can walk to the “mall,” which has a general store, a couple restaurants & an ice rink. We’d stay there again, but would not bring as much food requiring the use of the oven. It was such a treat to bring our sweet dog, who loved traveling with us. Thanks to the owners for a nice stay!

Very good communication and amenities as always. Everything about the property was perfect. The owner Kimberly immediately sent over some paper products we needed.Only downside was the way the hot weather affected the snowmobile trail through town which was rocky at some points. Once you got past the ski resorts the snow was great for snowmobiling. Of course, a few years ago, there was a crazy amount of snowfall which comolicated arrival and departure from the mountain. For a normal person, the conditions for a skiing week would be perfect because the roads were as clear as you could ever get since it has been getting up into the mid-40's.Back to the cabin, my wife says they painted since last year and Kimberly obviously got a new loveseat downstairs. The new daybed on the 2nd floor was a huge upgrade making this a legit stay for 5 full sized people.5 stars for the cozy cottage5 stars for the driving conditions4 stars for snowmobiling past the resorts into the Cedar Breaks Nat'l Monument area1 star to whatever town leader decided that the OHV trail in front of Paisano's Pizza could be left with an impassable rock drop off. The town could've at least pushed dirt over so there was a dirt ramp to go over the road driving into Paisano's and the ski resort.Kimberly, however was perfect.

The cabin was nice and cozy and the fireplace made it warm. We are thinking about doing it again maybe next year. The sleeping arrangements was perfect for us. Parking was great even with it snowing.
Wonderful little cabin that felt like you were stepping back in time. Full of antiques. Peaceful and quiet with wonderful views.

This is such a nice, little rustic cabin up in the mountains! The Cottage was perfect for our short getaway from the heat of the desert. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a few of our own meals. Spaces were all clean and the porches had comfortable seating (can't beat coffee on the porch in the mountains!). It's also within a walkable distance to the main lift which was a bonus for us, because we were able to easily get on a nice path to walk our dog a few times each day. There was live music outside near the lift and a few local restaurant options we got to enjoy, all right around the corner. The front porch had a bit more ATV noise than we were expecting, but with it being a holiday weekend it made sense there would be extra traffic. Overall we loved the ambiance of this place and will happily stay here again next time we're up in Brian Head. Definitely a new mountain favorite of ours!

Lovely Cozy cabin !
I’ve stayed at this cabin before and at the 4 bedroom cabin right next to it when it was owned by previous owner. I’m happy to say it hasn’t lost any of its charm! It’s still super cozy and welcoming. The new host has fantastic prices, which is probably why it’s almost always booked! My whole family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and I definitely recommend it.
