Erikas Dream - Handcrafted Log Cabin near River

Secluded, but within minutes of shops, galleries and restaurants. Drive into our mountain cove and up the hill to the welcoming front porch of Erika's Dream, a great getaway - for the weekend, a long vacation or even a honeymoon.

The great room features a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace with comfortable leather furnishings for TV watching or quiet conversations by the fire. Everything is provided in the well-equipped kitchen and the generous sized dining table seats six people with ease. Breakfast is also wonderful out on the patio, or you can prepare steaks on the charcoal grill. The swing and rockers on the front porch are just perfect for a lazy afternoon or that morning cup of coffee.
Both bedrooms have queen-sized beds with cozy comforters and soft linens. Open the windows and let the cool mountain breezes lull you to sleep. (We do have AC, too.)
At the end of the day, take a soothing soak in your private hot tub in the woods. Then relax by the outdoor fireplace, listen to the quiet and take in the wonder of the night sky. Your stay in our our romantic smoky mountain cabins will give you memories to last a lifetime.

We request that the guest who books the reservation be respectfully 18 or older. Pets are allowed though we do ask guests pay pet rent of $80 for their first dog, with an additional $40 for each additional dog, to help cover the additional time it takes our staff to prepare the property for our next guests, please bring a crate if you intend to leave the dog at the property unattended and we reserve the right to decline puppies, large breeds over a certain weight, etc.

Great place to visit but probably ought to have an all wheel drive vehicle, seeing as how you are in the top cabin! Unless you want to back down the driveway at 40 mph like Mr Ed did!! I’d definitely go back. Thanks guys for a nice place

Good- clean, one bed was comfy, nicely decorated and new. Bad- hill to get up to cabin very steep gravel road. no fire pit like in photos, hot tub not working( text sent about hot tub to inform 2.5 hours after check in, after unload luggage, all groceries). Asked owner for partial refund and no communication back. Would not rent again or recommend.

Could Be Better

We wanted to like this place but a few things bothered us. We agree with other reviewers. The road to the property was very steep, narrow, a mix of gravel , paved roads but with potholes. We were so glad we brought our SUV. The property photos need updating to reflect worn leather furnishings and the missing fire pit. The kitchen was way below basics. The host was quickly responsive to emails before our arrival. We arrived 15-minutes early. A woman dropped off some clean mats and suggested we give the property high ratings. After our visit, we felt it didn’t warrant it.

Adorable log cabin

The log cabin was cozy and fun to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day living. The cabin is equipped with everything you need. Outdoor space was very relaxing, even in the rain. Nice large covered porch.

Anniversary Get Away

We truly enjoyed our anniversary get away. The leaves were absolutely beautiful and the hot tub amazing. Very private property. We ended up bringing our daughter and she too had a wonderful time! The fireplace made things extra cozy. Would definitely recommend!

Overall pleased with your property.Only complaints(being minor complaints) was some of the lightbulbs we're out and the heavy machinery and garbage from the unfinished homes laying around took away from the beautiful property.The cabin and hot tub were very nice and appreciate the effort that was taken to install the hot tub! Overall very pleased and would recommend to others.

Private Smokies Getaway

Erika’s Dream was a great destination. Great private hot tub down a few steps from the cabin. Well appointed cabin as advertised. Clean and cozy. Great fireplace. I spent one whole day on the porch swing, just chilling. Close to great hikes and Bryson City. Bring your fly fishing rod for close by river. Quick communication with owner. The entry road is steep and narrow, part gravel, part paved. Bring your own firewood from the IGA, sensibly priced. Great farmers market nearby ( Darnell’s).

Outdoor oasis

The outdoor amenities make this rental truly special. We enjoyed grilling and dining on the patio, swinging on the front porch as the sun came up, and dipping in the hot tub each evening. The cabin itself is full of rustic charm with comfy furnishings and bedding. There were plenty of towels and linens available.

Magical

My husband and I had a wonderful, relaxing time at this warm and cozy cabin!!It was snowing, so we spent a lot of time by the fireplace. The hot tub is a few steps from the cabin and we got in it every night! The lights in the trees with the snow looked magical!! I spoke to our host because we got stuck here in the snow. She was warm and kind, like speaking to a friend!! She said if we got stuck an extra day, there would be no charge! I'm happy we got stuck!! There's no place I'd rather be snowed in than this beautiful cabin nestled in the woods!! If only our little dogs were here!!❀❀❀

We didn’t receive a welcome email with directions to the property. We had to email the afternoon we were driving to the property and we did receive a reply with the street address and door code. The street address only took us to the bottom of the hill. We arrived after dark and couldn’t find the cabin. We drove up and down the streets and finally had to call the property owner. The cabin was located past another cabin under construction, on a driveway between two trees that we couldn’t see in the dark. There were no lights on at the cabin we rented so it was practically invisible. We also didn’t get an email with any instructions so we didn’t know what they wanted us to do with the sheets, dishes, or trash. The cabin was perfectly fine. The location was very quiet, but also close to Bryson City, but communication that we expect for renting a cabin was non-existent.

Private Cabin Getaway

We were looking for a private and secluded cabin in the woods, and that is what we got. It was clean, cozy and had everything that we needed (towels, stocked kitchen, bar of soap and even Christmas decorations). The wifi worked well and there is a smart tv in every room. The mattresses were firm but not terrible. Overall, we loved every minute of our stay and would highly recommend this cabin to anyone we know.
