Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in the tiny house. It was cute, quiet, and the views are amazing! However, it could use a deep clean on the window sills and shelves. In a tiny house, you use every space. Beds were great! However, the couch cannot be considered as a sleeping area. Itâs not just uncomfortable. Itâs painful. My teenager had to use extra pillows to make it bearable, but she didnât sleep well at all during our stay. It honestly should be replaced since itâs barely comfortable as a couch. The loft beds were great.
Staying in the yurt was a fun, unique experience and the facilities were very clean. Big problem is that we were not able to hang out in the Yurt until ~ sun down (8pm) because it was like an oven during the hot day. Makes sense; it is just a big tent. We ran the ac unit and fan but that didn't help. We opened the windows but still not much improvement. It cooled down when outside cooled down. We hung out in the club house and played pool for a couple hours; it would've been a lot more disappointing if we had arrived earlier in the day.
I loved the mountain hiking we could walk right up to from our porch. We got to explore the mountain without an exact trail, and it was easy to find our way back to camp. I also loved that there was a gas stove, a gas grill, charcoal grill, campfire pit with an affixed grill, and a gas fire pit...so many options for cooking and sitting by a fire to make staying out in nature easier and more relaxing. Also the campground was quiet and clean. We used this as a hotel in nature rather than camping, and I would recommend it for either purpose.
This is perfect for a couple. We did see a bball hoop, horseshoe pit and volleyball net. Wish we knew we would have had some extra fun. There was a firepit but didnt know how to work it which sucked but overall recommend.
Some friends and I booked the tiny homes while we were there for a wedding. All of us have backgrounds in hotels, but I might have been the only one with a background in camping... I found my stay to be very enjoyable! You are staying on a campsite in a tiny home, not at the Ritz. The tiny home was just that, a full home, just tiny!
If I were to suggest just one thing, it would be to invest in some floor mats for the inside of the units. It was wet while we were there and we tried not to bring our wet shoes into the home, but there wasn't a great way to escape that.
Overall, 10 out of 10! I can't wait to go back!
I come to Buena Vista every year to hike. This was the perfect place to rest after a day hiking. Clean, a short drive to everything, and quiet. I loved being able to cook my own meals.
Staying here was a bit of a letdown. The place wasn't quite as clean as we expected, and for the amount we paid (over $200 for 1 night) we definitely expected better. While the location was convenient and the outdoor firepit was a nice touch, the overall stay didn't match the cost.
To be fair, nothing was super dirty; it was more about the wear and tear, dead bugs on the windowsill where your pillows are, and billions of goat heads. I'm not sure if there's much they can do to fix that. Wouldn't recommend if you have pets either. If you get off the small rock oath there are literally hundreds of goat heads. They were stuck in our shoes and thereâs no way a dog would be able to walk around.
Will return but not for a tiny home stay. The grounds were cute and had everything youâd need. The lounge area was also a nice touch that we utilized in the morning.
We did a quick night stay in one of the mini houses which was just right for two with a comfortable bed and bathroom. Although a bit pricey, when really enjoyed our stay. The view was awesome as we sat by the gas fire pit watching the sunset. Communication and service was excellent.
We loved the idea of the property.. but the water was turned off while we were there and we couldnât use any water. We also could never get our stove top to work.
Absikutely beautiful area and my Oxfore tiny house had everything i needed for a short stay. It also had bunch of hair on shower walls, dorty coffee cleaner and dusty stove. Looks like the place hasnt been cleaned properly. There was a fireput righr infornt of the house, wlso the grill, benches and breathtaking view especially around susnset time. The territory has basketball court, volleyball net, playiground and something around the office area but i didnt go there. Neither did i check the market out. Overall ill come back for sure, ill just bring some cleanex with me, just for funsies. Great place!
