A real treat.
Publié le 20 févr. 2024 sur HotelsGreat hotel. The staff, in particular- Andrew, Bradley and Stephanie- were excellent. Both our Breakfasts and the evening meal we had were good quality.
The Whisky selection was amazing. They are refurbishing parts of the hotel, but it did not have an impact on our stay. Our room’ Muckle Roe’ could accommodate four people. What would have enhanced our stay would have been if the second bed could have been moved to one side and two comfy chairs placed by the window to really appreciate the view from the room.

Publié le 25 sept. 2022 sur HotelsThis is a lovely old fashioned hotel. Great, helpful staff. We stayed 2 nights and ate in the first night and at a local restaurant the second night. The food was fine, not beautifully presented but very generous. The prawn cocktail was just a pile of prawns in a sauce with a tiny salad garnish. Breakfast was also generous and well cooked. The room was lovely, it was quiet, there was a plug for a hairdryer next to a mirror and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom looked newly refurbished in a small, awkwardly shaped space. In trying to shoehorn a bath with an overhead shower into that space, neither works well. The side of the bath is so high it’s very difficult to get in and out. The H&C taps are the wrong way round. They are also in an awkward position where it’s impossible to top up with hot water without risking a burn. I scraped on the taps getting in. My husband was too tall for the shower head. Had to lean right over the toilet to put things in the bin. A shame it’s been designed like that, there are better options available. The inroom safe was on the floor so difficult to use.
