A great little hotel
Posted Feb. 20, 2024 on HotelsThe staff is kind and helpful, the rooms are very clean. It’s an oasis in the middle of a busy and very eclectic town. Monkeys in the trees, iguanas on the roof and colorful birds flying around. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Posted Feb. 10, 2024 on HotelsIt wasn't that we didn't like this place, i's just it didn't have much to it. The pool is very small and would be busy with more than 2 people in it. The service and the breakfast itself were the lowest rated out of the 4 hotels we stayed at in Costa Rica.
There is nothing wrong with this hotel at all. The cleaning service was fantastic. The location is good, but you do have to walk along a busy roadside for a few meters to get down into the town for the beach or restaurants. The rooms were comfy and the air con worked very well.
We did enjoy the wildlife, there were Iguanas everywhere (big ones!) and we spotted a monkey one evening. Would also recommend the souvenir shop opposite the hotel.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The staff was incredible and very kind. The breakfast provided is delicious 😋. The only negative comments are not the hotels fault. We found walking to the beach/ restaurants was tricky. There are many tripping hazards and no sidewalks for part of it. We were also surprised to see bags of garbage on the streets. They were sitting for days.

The restaurant and staff were great. The room was small and noisy. We heard everything outside the room as though we were outside, including conversations, traffic.

The staff are very nice, especially Donald and Oldy(sp?).
Restaurant is hit and miss, a bit expensive.

This property fulfilled my two most important criteria-very comfortable bed and good climate control and air conditioning. It is located on a busy strip of roadway, but walking distance to the beach, so if you don't need a fancy setting, the price is right for a solid place to stay, and the staff are wonderful and accomodating-did not try the food at the restaurant (only there one nght)
