Quick overnight stay.

We booked a room last minute as we decided not to drive back to Tama. We received excellent service and communication from the owner. The pool was clean and good water temperature. She let us charge our phones and have a detailed run down of our room. The room was very clean and had a fridge. The bed and pillows were very comfy. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

It’s perfect for a low budget get away. AC hot water comfortable bed. 5 minute walk to the beach and a little small pool. If your looking for a 5 star resort this isn’t it but if your wanting to have fun this is the place

Clean, comfortable, would stay again!

Room was clean, service was very good, unfortunately internet wasn’t working well when I stayed. And it is a little misleading to say they have memory foam beds or matresses, when what they have are those memory foam pads you put in top of the mattress.

We have four routers throughout the property to help with connection but the strength or weakness of the signal coming to us in any given moment or day is outside of our control. Yes, you are right, we have memory foam overlays on top of mattresses. Many people prefer firmer beds so we have tried to provide the best of both worlds. We hope you slept well.

Don’t waste your time and money with this place

Dirty place, horrible service, also was 49$ without taxes and we couldn’t even move to another place because hotels.com would not accept cancellations. Terrible experience.

This is a little noisy being right on the main road in but the rooms are comfortable with an in-room safe and we really enjoyed the breakfast. Jody gave us very helpful local advice including recommending MarVista for dinner which we loved! Howler monkeys visited during our stay and came right up to the property in the trees - one had a baby who took great interest in us!

We are delighted that your stay was a good experience. Yes, we are on a paved road. It does have it's pros and cons. Easy access, no jeeping required, everything isn't covered in dust, no ATV tours all day long, etc., is what we gain by not being on a dirt road. But the paved road is used by cows, horses, people, bicycles, motorcycles, cars, and delivery trucks. We even have a small "rush hour" but it quiets down to pure silence in the evening and night which we appreciate, too. You can even hear the waves crashing while sitting by the pool. We are so happy that you enjoyed everything else about our little spot in paradise. Thanks for staying with us and taking the time to write a review. We hope you will come and stay with us again.

not as expected

hotel in need of cleaning and repair. Breakfast included but not provided. when inquiring about it they said pool guy, who was sweating while painting flooring around pool, could make me some scrambled eggs. Employees talking at 5 am woke me up--not that I slept in with all the road noise. Pool inaccessible as flooring around it was being painted and it had a lot of tree debris in it.

We had a day when you were the only guest in the hotel so we did not set up breakfast and the owner offered to make you a plate of fruit, eggs, bread, etc. You declined but accepted some of her coffee. We did paint around the pool for one hour each day 6am-7am while you were here. The rest of the time the pool was available for use. It is an outside pool and when the breeze or wind is blowing it requires us to clean it out 3-5 times per day or more, which we do. There are times when there is a gust of wind that blows just as we are finishing and we could just circle around the pool 24 hours a day, which of course, isn't reasonable. We expend hours each day keeping the pool pleasant, clean, refreshing but it is an outside pool so there are times when there is a little organic debris in the pool. There are no employees here at 5am to talk to each other. There is only the guard and she is very considerate. You may have heard other guests talking at that time or people on the street on their way to work. Of course, if the conversation is loud we ask them to remember people are sleeping but we cannot control all conversations. The funny thing is that you left us and went and stayed in a hotel surrounded by bars with music to 2am and a neighborhood full of people, rooster, etc, and with construction nearby. It appeared that you arrived here discontent. We wish we could have satisfied your needs but we are glad you found somewhere else to stay where you could be happier.

Thank you for staying with us. We appreciate your feedback. We pride ourselves in our cleanliness. We use disinfectant to clean everything, every day. However, the water is very hard here and it is impossible to eliminate the mineral build-up completely. We do have the pool and the kids can squeal with glee but we also enforce a quiet time mid-evening to morning. We hope you didn't lose any sleep. We try very hard to keep it tranquil during those hours. Because of your feedback we will re-evaluate this. Thank you again for staying with us and we hope you will return.
