The property was beautiful and the best view ever. When we first checked in they promised us “Welcome Gift “ and we never received anything. The grill bar at the pool was always busy and you had to wait to long for food. The other thing was that if you have a baby in a stroller or if you are in a wheelchair that had no elevator from lobby to the restaurant or the pool. You have to go all the way around to get the elevator . Also if you do not tip the servers they treat you like trash.

Stayed at this location from Monday-Friday. When we arrived initially, we offloaded our luggage and immediately upon entering the resort, we were taken hostage by a representative of the hotel, Caracol Travel. They took us to a different section of the hotel, the lobby bar, and told us they would check us in there. Finally, we realized that they were only trying to sell us their packages and had us sign a "contract" stating that we would come back the next day for breakfast and to sell us their packages. They were super insistent and after several "no's" we were finally directed back to the check in desk. From there, I explained to the check in person that we thought we were already being checked in, but he explained that it's their partners, so it was fine after that. We rented the Villa with 3 bedrooms. In our bedroom, I saw three ROACHES on different nights, one of the sinks had no running hot water, the sliding doors were hard to open, the kitchen also had no supplies. The employees dropped off a second random refrigerator on a random night and left it in the kitchen without it being plugged in and placed it in the center of the kitchen, that was strange. The pools were okay, although it was cold when we were there, so we opted for the jacuzzi and the jacuzzi bar near the beach. The jacuzzi bar near the beach was not working, so the water was cold, and therefore the only other working jacuzzi was completely packed each day. The food was okay, not super impressed

We decided to try this establishment for a change of scene. The food is terrible, raw, warm. The sushi is in bags and just put on a plate. Management is rude, if you ask a question they try to sell you a time share. Over and over can we interest you in a spa treatment or a breakfast with a time share talk. Have a problem? Well you need a time share. My medium well steak was so raw it was moving. I took a picture of it, my wife took it to show the manager. He said he would contact her later and never did. The hot tub is luke warm, there is mold in the rooms. My son lost his wrist band while we were out in the ocean, they charged him $100 for another. It's no fun wondering every damn minute from then on f you are going to lose the damn band. Managers were rude and we talked to other guests going through similar situations so I don't believe all the positive ratings. We will not be going back to this establishment again. All that and more to say about how poor it was but I will say this, the main line people there are amazing. The waiters, the regulars most don't even see.... Are some of the hardest working, friendly, go out of their way, sincere wonderful people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and sharing my time with.

The room, restaurants and the whole hotel were very nice and clean. The staff was so helpful and managed in a good way all situations. The only thing was the room temperature that was very cold and it didn't have heat option.

It was a good hotel. The rooms were amazing, snacks and sit down restaurants were good, the only thing is the buffet by the pool was terrible. The food options were bad. Let's just say my wife and I waited for the hamburger/hotdog cart in the even to eat. All the other restaurants were good. They had a dance club at night which was pretty cool. And the hot tub bar down stairs was a good chill out spot. The taco and sushi spot were great but it would be nice it they closed later in the day. Also its walking distance the Mayan museum. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

The staff was friendly, the property was beautiful, the beach was clean and well kept, and the pool activities and teen club were fun. However, the food on the property for the most part was OK at best, and the worst part was the mattresses. It felt like trying to sleep on a flat rock, and I did not sleep well all week because of it. My family of 5 did not sleep well because of them either.

Everyone at the resort was amazing! Very friendly and went out of their way to take care of us! From Franc at the concierge who helped us plan our Thai Day bed! Enrique our server was top notch! Viktor at el Pino made my husbands birthday trip ‘ everytime we went into the restaurant he knew exactly what we wanted to drink and was on top of it! Manasas another server also provided service beyond anything we ever expected! This is just a few of the staff that made our stay! We will definitely be back!
