Staff downstairs in all areas were very friendly, room & bathroom was essentially very clean apart from a lot of crumbs inside the room drawers, not that we needed them for one night but maybe check the drawers.... Unfortunately we were on the 4th floor and there was a private function above which was incredibly noisy from when we got back from dinner until midnight. Although we were offered a room swap, we had already showered, were in PJ's and were trying to watch a film...

This is a well located hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful when asked about gluten free breakfast options. Though not everything was readily available at busy time, they were able to bring gf bread and the signage was excellent. Main issue for us was noisy booming disco music way too audible on the 4th floor, preventing us getting the best night's sleep. Still, not sure how that could be prevented. I would probably book elsewhere due to this factor, especially on the weekend.

Une de nos chaînes d'hôtel préférées

Location idéale, à 10 minutes de marche de la gare Canterbury West et encore moins de celle de Canterbury East, à deux pas delà cathédrale, des restos, boutiques, etc. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est complet et de bonne qualité. La chambre est de belle grandeur et les lits confortables. Il y a même une planche à repasser. Très bonne insonorisation entre les chambres et l'extérieur.

Really enjoyed my two night stay at this hotel, the staff were friendly, helpful and professional, the room was very clean and bed comfortable. Amazing that a buffet breakfast was imcludes in the price too, and pizza availabre 24/7 for an additional cost, and other items on the menu including vegan options.

Location is good and staff great service Room was okay but cleaning was poor as hair from last guest in bathroom. Extra pillow request was met with “ if we have any spares “ normally a couple of spares in the room always. Parking works well and close

On each floor there are about four rooms that are much smaller than the advertised 230ish square feet, we were given two of those rooms and were disappointed given we prioritize room size when choosing hotels. It felt like we did not get what we paid for

Well positioned in Canterbury, enjoyable stay 😊

Great location, Hampton hotel is well placed and our room on the fourth floor was spacious and quiet. Only negative was the extractor fan in the bathroom going 24/7. Buffet breakfast was good though limited choice if you don't like a fried breakfast. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. Ness ensured a warm welcome on arrival.

I had really high hopes for this stay, having never stayed in a Hilton before but knowing the name and the prestige it carried. Myself and my partner were looking forward to a quiet, restful stay, but it was very much the opposite. The staff were lovely and the room itself was fine in appearance, but I hadn't expected to hear the loud, pounding bass of music from the rooftop bar above from our room, which went on until very late both nights of our stay. The mattress was rock solid, so between the noise and the mattress, it ended up being very much the opposite of a restful, relaxing weekend. We both slept poorly as a result and I spent the weekend with considerable aches and pains, which really soured our trip. I mentioned the noise from the bar upon checking out, but didn't see much point in raising the issues during our stay, as it was likely both issues would not be resolved by being moved to a different room. We were not even on the floor directly below the bar, so I can imagine how much noiser it must have been for other patrons. It was a real shame, as otherwise we would have had a really nice weekend, and all of the staff we encountered were incredibly nice and helpful (and the issues mentioned would be things they would likely have very little ability to change). I'd definitely think twice about booking this hotel and while I can't do anything to change the bad weekend we had, I hope others don't make the same mistake.

The hotel was in a good location very central. The air conditioning was hit and miss, I prefer the option of opening a window for fresh air. Breakfast was average but overall enjoyed our stay in Canterbury.
