How close is The Grey Hotel to downtown Cape Town?
Fantastic location in a beautiful part of Cape Town. Lots of lovely restaurants right on the doorstep. Itâs a 12-15 minute walk to the waterfront but itâs easier to just jump in an uber as they are so cheap. We had Room number 3. The terrace is delightful with a view looking onto table mountain. Rooms are a bit on the smaller size but you can store your luggage under the bed. The bed was a bit too hard for our liking but the pillows were nice and soft. We were a bit disappointed that you didnât get a bottle of free water in room with any of the days.
The Sky bar is really cool. Great views again looking onto Table Mountain.
All of the staff are so welcoming and helpful. Thank you so much for helping make our first trip to Cape Town a truly memorable experience
Fantastic boutique hotel in the trendy De Waterkant area. 15 mins walk to V&A. Lovely room (4) had fourposter bed and a huge private terrace with Table Mountain view. The staff were beyond helpful and very friendly. Excellent breakfast and great value for money. I highly recommend. I also used the offered shuttle to and from the airport which was safe and reliable. I will be back soon.
Clean and friendly hotel in a safe neighbourhood. Room was small but stylish and comfortable, with a great balcony enjoying the afternoon sun and views of Table Mountain.
Rooftop bar is cool but the drinks menu in the room doesn't match what they actually have and if you have any movement restrictions you will never get up the spiral staircase!
Breakfast was very poor so better to eat out, there are several lovely cafes within 2 minutes walk. Also evening eateries very close and safe to walk to.
Overall though very good value and I enjoyed my stay.
I really enjoyed the location and the building was quirky and unique. The room I had was small but plenty enough for me in a city hotel. The staff was very warm and friendly. I'd definitely return.
