A Very Enjoyable Visit
Publié le 13 févr. 2024 sur HotelsThe hospitality at the Waterstone is top notch. We were greeted by Charmaine, who got us settled and made sure everything was taken care of on our arrival. The next morning we had breakfast out in the garden and pool area. Everything was fresh and delicious, in beautiful surroundings. Load shedding hit during breakfast hours, but Charmaine managed to keep the kitchen running and no one went without hot coffee or toast! Definitely a well run operation. I would recommend the Waterstone for a great stay in Somerset West.

Serious value for money in beautiful Somerset West
Publié le 4 janv. 2024 sur HotelsAndrew is a fabulous host and couldn't do enough for us to ensure that we had a great stay. The lodge is comfortable, with many amenities offered to us so we didn't have to sit around in our rooms. The breakfast and the cappuccinos - excellent!

Very well appointed Lodge. Room was beautiful and very clean. The location was perfect for us. The host very friendly. The only aspect that needs improvement is the breakfast quality. Only bread for toast is offered. Cold meats and cheese were not very good. One other aspect I would like to point out is that the offer for marmalade was not good. Only one of the three offered was good. The other two were not. Their smell wasn’t good.

Dear Jorge. Thank you for your great rating and your valuable feedback with regard to your stay with us. I’m a little confused with your statement about “only bread for toast was offered” as there are four types of bread offered to toast. Then there is also freshly baked pastries, croissants and muffins. As far as the cheese is concerned. We have provided Brie, Camembert, white rock with cranberries and a goats cheese for lactose intolerant guests. On top of this we have sliced cheddar cheese and a variety of preserves to go with the cheese and the two types of locally made cold meats. The jams are a variety of French Jams of which only one is a marmalade. When you were staying with us the other two were black cherry and raspberry jams. None of these points were brought up with me or my assistant every morning in our lengthily conversations with you to check if all was going well with your stay so this feedback surprises me. As you can see in most of our reviews we get great reviews on our breakfast and breakfast offering. I am sorry you never gave me or us the opportunity during your last stay with us to ensure your stay with us was the best and hope that should you stay with us again that you would discuss these points with me so that I may ensure or explain this to you in person. Exceptional facility. There is attention down to the smallest detail. The Lodge is located in a beautiful area of West Somerset. It is quiet and peaceful. The staff are outstanding.
