Nice little place at a good price as we were going to The Open at Troon. No services in the village but next village has a great food pub and hotel that does decent pub Faye. when we visited the hotel bar and restaurant was closed for refurb but they did do a good breakfast
A former coaching house with very friendly owner, Susan. Perfectly adequate for a short stay. We know the area well and did know in advance that itâs not âCastle Douglasâ. Others travellers should be aware!
Stayed over for one night passing through on a cycling trip. The host was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful storing and charging our bikes. Only open for B&B but fortunately the local tearoom opens on weekend evenings for meals. Well stocked community shop next door and community pub at the end of the street. Great village and area.
The hotel itself is lovely. Sadly the dining room and bar are closed but the hotel side is open for business! Clean rooms, comfy bed and delightful host. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order and was perfectly done. Really lovely place to stay to take in the surrounding villages and towns. Peaceful village with cafes
Just returned from four nights at the Cross Keys ...... Susan the owner and staff are more than welcoming ...... New Galloway is tranquility itâs self !!!!! And a hidden gem for those looking to escape for a while .... a piece of Scottish charm and well worth a visit ..... but donât tell too many people đ
Arrived late and departed early unfortunately so didnt eat or drink. A very warm welcome and a comfy bed was had,no street parking to be found around the hotel but there is a large free car park 5 mins walk away uphill
Solo traveller on a motorcycle trip, small country inn, owner and staff were friendly, great value and whilst rustic and a little dated, the room was spotless, food was home cooked good and plentiful and a great wee bar - good food, clean room, decent bed and a few beers for very little money.
