A very relaxing, quiet and pleasant hostel.

Emplacement : The location is great! only about 25 minutes from the town of Banff and saw wildlife on the side of road such as: Elk, deer and black bear cubs.
I enjoyed my stay because of the peaceful wilderness surrounding this hostel. The manager was very helpful, knowledgeable, accommodating and kept a very tidy accommodation.

Emplacement : Johnston Canyon Hike, Castle Mountain, Bow Valley Parkway (viewing wildlife - bears, moose, elk), Banff
Wow, didn't expect to feel so at home, but so enjoyed the people at this hostel. Even though it was simple, all I needed for was there - a clean, quiet bedroom and washroom, respectful and friendly people as well as a knowledgeable and helpful staff.

I visited in the winter on a weeknight and I found the bed (which you make yourself with supplied linen) to be comfortable and slept well. The common kitchen is well equipped and the living area has a wood burning stove in the centre of a panoramic windowed room surrounded by magnificent scenery. I found the host, Tony, to be friendly and competant.
