Always perfect
Publié le 28 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was our second stay at this cabin. Upon arrival, it was sparkling clean, the pellet stove was fired up, lights were on, and it felt like getting home.
We absolutely love staying here. It’s cozy, comfortable, and casual. The owner, Mark stopped by shortly after we unpacked just to introduce himself and say hello. The property manager, Fancie is always prompt with responding and so helpful and friendly.
Our last night there, the wind was blowing a gale and there were brutal ground blizzards but the cabin was toasty warm and it felt so cozy and safe.
We’re so grateful we found a wonderful place that allows our dog as well. He was so relaxed this time, like he felt at home too. We love the enclosed, gated porch. Our dog can sit our on it without his leash and watch the world.
Snowy Range ski resort is less than 10 minutes away which is a huge bonus to us.
The hot tub is great. It’s not super high tech and modern but it’s very clean and feels fantastic after skiing.
We love that there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms so we have plenty of space.
The master suite is the whole upstairs and has its own living area with TV which is really nice for a tired mom!
As I stated in my previous review, if you’re expecting extravagant, brand new, and super fancy, you’ll be disappointed. If you’re expecting beautiful views, comfort, coziness, and everything you need to have an enjoyable, relaxing getaway, you’ll love it as much as us!

As always it was spectacular having you, the boys and knight stay with us. We just love having y'all. I love that we can assist with y'all in creating such lasting happy memories. I'm also delighted to hear that even Kight is starting to feel at home at the cabins.

Got Stuck in Snow, A Warning Would be Nice
Publié le 14 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayOverall, this is a really neat little cabin, with just about everything you would need. Outdoor dining set was covered in snow and not usable. We did bring burgers to grill and were disappointed that the grill on the porch was not working due to a missing piece. However, there was a nice kitchen and we worked it out. Got stuck several times in the driveway in snow in a sedan. At least they had a tow rope handy! Shovels on hand would have been nice too. Mouse droppings in some of the less-used kitchen drawers was a turn-off, especially with a $100 per party cleaning fee. Beautiful views and quiet atmosphere.

I was quite shocked to see your review, as I'm so diligent on making sure that guests know that I'm available to them anytime to answer questions or concerns. I didn't hear a peep outta you during your stay. Shocked again I was when I arrived at the cabin to prepare for the next guests and found granite counter tops leaned against the cabin, a cupboard turned upside down and backwards. Our rules say No smoking of any kind in the cabin and there were ashes of something that was smoked in the cabin. When i reached out to you, you never responded.

Meh... and maybe dangerous
Publié le 19 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis is a tough review to write as the owner and host are nice folks and there's basically nowhere to stay around Centennial, but there are much better houses to stay in and the house is really quite rough. I discounted the other reviews when booking this, but shouldn't have.
My main issues are that the house is super slapped together and in disrepair. It appears to me the house is made up of spare parts from other houses. A few examples: (a) the wood pellet stove is inside the chimney, which also serves as the main trunk of the HVAC, (b) the shower upstairs is made up of a glass surround that's clearly from another shower (ie, a phantom handle) plus another door, (c) the HVAC was leaking propane.
That last one may or may not be a doozy. I'm no pro, but propane can be deadly (by fire or replacing the oxygen in your lungs). The owner suggested a number of things that are clearly false regarding the safety of the building. We didn't die, but also didn't think we'd face danger in the home; thought that was for the slopes.
In any case he was nice about it, but the problem is that the finishes and functions are aging and the pictures (or common sense) don't show that it's an issue.
I'm hopeful they get it into better repair as again, there's nowhere to stay in Centennial and Snowy Range is AWESOME for the kids.

Hello folks... Unfortunately every few years I will be broadsided with a review like this. I am saddened as my intent when we built our family cabin was not to compete with our local Hilton, but rather to create a cozy and inviting cabin that our kids would love coming to. It is true that I incorporated furnishings and fixtures that I dreamed of having in a cabin someday( Sub Zero Frig, Double convection oven six burner Thermador gas range, Self lighting new pellet stove and Two modern Bathrooms). We have many wonderful returning guests every year that call this home. Having a home in the Snowy Range can be a challenge to insure warmth and comfort in any situation. Therefore I have incorporated multiple heat sources so comfort is insured no mater the situation. This includes a propane wall heater that needs no electricity but is unvented. I explained that it was intended when other sources of heat are out. I told him to turn it off and turn up the thermostat for the high efficiency furnace. He neglected to say that this solved the problem. Yes it is difficult to find cabins in Centennial. One of my new neighbors just had a smaller cabin built for his family at a cost of $400,000. My promise to those of you have not yet stayed with us is that we will make every effort to make you feel safe and comfortable and most to make you feel like family.

Disappointing Stay In Cozy Modern Cabin In Centennial, WY
Publié le 16 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayAfter booking this property, I had no complaint with Fancie Spear's, the co-host, pre-stay online communications. Her immediate attention & quick responses to pre-stay questions I had were very much appreciated. Plus, due to late arrivals (after dark) on a cold & rainy Friday night, the wall heater Fancie had left on was, also, appreciated.
However, disappointingly, for us, the overall condition of the home was not as reflected in its VRBO pictures. Sadly, this property is falling into disrepair, some updating & a more thorough cleaning.
There is not enough space here to list all the issues we experienced during our stay, so I've had to reduce my wording here.
Briefly summarizing, one lower bedroom had dirty sheets & pillow cases (black hairs - possible animal hairs), Insulation filtering down from the ceiling through a missing board. The other lower bedroom (with the 2 chairs) ceiling began to leak water over the chair as we preparing to leave for my niece's wedding (placed a cooking pot on top of the chair).
Their was dust all along the back of the leather couch in the upper bedroom. Were constantly finding bees in this bedroom.
Loose boards on the entrance ramp (my brother-in-law is an amputee & was using crutches) & in front up the hot tub.
Piles of clutter all around the patio area & a can 1/2 full of old cigarette butts.
Lighting throughout the property was dim.
Not enough room to thoroughly list all issues. Per your request, can provide some pictures.

Thank you for your kind words about myself and the way I conduct myself as the Co Host.
I was concerned aboutthe fact that you had mentioned dirty sheets, as that is something i take of every check out. I take the laundry to my home wash, dry and return to cabins. i can promise you the sheets were laundered and freshly put on the beds. I am sorry you felt the cabin was in such "disrepair" I noted the loose board on the ramp and promptly fixed it. In the mountains you will have a lot of dust and the occasional pesky flies or bees, it's just nature. I do feel badly that you found it offensive I try to let all of our guests know that I am available anytime during their stay if they have any questions or concerns, so I was very surprised that I didn't hear a word about anything during your stay.

Large space but very cozy

The cabin was very well stocked with paper towels, plates napkins and even spices in the kitchen. Cabin stayed nice and toasty. The property manager and owner both went above and beyond for us.
You can tell the cabin is hand built. It is very unique. We all definitely enjoyed our stay and the great people of Laramie and centennial.
