This beautifully restored modern lake front log cabin is a fishing, kayaking, and water sports paradise on Mountain Island Lake. The home boasts professionally designed and decorated spaces both indoors and out, that are perfect for gathering with friends and family. Step outside to grill while enjoying the water from the large deck, hop in the water off the private dock with included kayaks and stand-up paddle boards, then end the day by the fire pit as the sun begins to set. Directly across the lake is undisturbed shoreline of nearby nature preserve, Latta Plantation, including miles of hiking trails. For a night out, drive 20 minutes to uptown for all that Charlotte has to offer!

The house was well stocked with essentials and everything was easy to locate or had handy labels to help! The layout was perfect for two families with kids who could share a sleeping space. The beds were comfortable, great water pressure and the location was great. Getting what you needed was no more than 10-15 minutes away but once you were back at the cabin it felt like you were far away from city life. Hanging out by the lake and fire pit was just what we needed!

This was a great vacation at a quiet, clean and comfortable house on the lake. We had everything we needed at the house to enjoy our stay. Plenty of space, cooking and dining utensils, outdoor activities and entertainment. Hosts were very easy to communicate with and made sure everything was ready as promised. Definitely would recommend. All 3 generations wore very happy. Beautiful cabin , house well equipped and outdoor activities for everyone. My 7 year old granddaughter was in heaven . Wonderful Vacation!

We absolutely enjoyed our time at the lake. The property exceeded our expectations. The house itself was welcoming and a great place to relax. We loved that there were kayaks and paddleboards for us to use. We also enjoyed the beanbag and putt-putt golf games. The dock was a great place to relax under the umbrella throughout the day. The lake never seemed too busy in this area, so it was mostly quiet and peaceful. The house is a short drive to several little towns where you can walk around or go to restaurants.

Chose this rental for the location. Perfect choice! The house is fabulous. Spotlessly clean. Nicely decorated. Comfortable beds. Everything you could need for a relaxing stay. Relaxing spot on the lake

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to have all our meals at the house. Everything was clean and comfortable with plenty of space for everyone. The neighboring houses and docks were very close, but it was a quiet neighborhood and a very quiet cove on the lake. We loved having kayaks for everyone and paddled daily. This was our first time visiting a lake in this area so I will mention if you are used to the lakes in New England, it’s very different. The water is warm and murky so my kids enjoyed floating and fishing, but didn’t swim much. The location was super convenient to a lot of stores and a quick ride from the airport. Overall, it was a relaxing week.

Rough trip but smooth location

We had a few members of our group fall sick with Covid, but Meredith was very helpful with how quickly she communicated. Oh. I suggest you add lighting down at the dock. It's insanely dark at night and a little dangerous for boaters.

I absolutely loved my stay at this charming cabin! From the moment I arrived, I felt like I had stepped into a storybook. The cabin is incredibly cute—thoughtfully decorated with rustic touches that make it feel warm, welcoming, and full of character. The owner is super communicative. One of the highlights was definitely the bed—it was so comfortable! The mattress was just the right mix of soft and supportive, and the linens were high-quality and plush. After a day of exploring or relaxing by the fire, sinking into that bed felt like pure heaven. I slept better than I have in ages.The whole space is perfect for a peaceful retreat. Perfect getaway

The home was clean and everything that the pictures depicted and more. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and also had many cups for all ages from sippy cups to insulated cups with lids, which we found very convenient. The host was very responsive and proactive in making sure the home was free from any issues or concerns. There was a brief power outage in the area but the host was well informed and stayed in touch regarding the expected time of the fix. It didn’t bother us at all though, we just spent time outside doing the many activities and games provided or swimming in the lake and the power was restored much earlier than projected. Grocery stores, restaurants, and activities are within 10-20 minutes away but we mostly stayed at the house and enjoyed all that it had to offer. If we ever end up back in this area we would definitely stay here again!

Relaxation Station

This lake house trip was exactly what we needed to start our Summer off. The drive to the house is beautiful. The house was incredibly clean and was fully stocked with everything we needed - kitchen supplies, towels, pack n play etc. We cooked most of the time and it was nice to have everything there to do so - including a grill! The outdoor lake toys that are provided were a plenty! Daily paddle boarding and kayaking. Again, everything we would need! I am a person that sleep with a fan on so having an extra room fan provided in the house was a bonus! The hosts provided us with ideas for indoor activities as it did rain on and off - we were never short of activities, indoors or outdoors. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing, and clean stay with a beautiful view that feels like home - this is the place!
