We were 4 senior women enjoying our high school reunion for the week. We enjoyed seeing a different park ,marsh or winery each day and only enjoyed our final day at the house. We found some “ sea glass” washed up on the beach in front of the house along with a warm lake at the end of September. We enjoyed our coffee watching the sunrise each morning. Would highly recommend and would go back. The second bathroom is actually an ensuite bathroom with access from the master bedroom that has a king size bed in it.Dean had coffee and filters to start us off as well which was lovely and very welcome.

Host was helpful and quick to respond. Cottage is clean, and has all the little things you need, with a great games room/sunroom that is bright and has lovely views. Without a doubt the outdoor space surpassed our expectations. Many places to sit, beautiful lake (sunrise!) views, steps down to the lake, and a lovely area for a campfire. We had a wonderful stay.

Sunrise Bay is amazing....

This is a beautiful property with picturesque views of Lake Erie. It has 2 beaches and a peer which we toss our lines in around dusk. We caught many large fish. The cottage is very clean and has everything anyone would want. Loved the onsuite, the bumper pool and all the tv's. We made several fires around a well thought out fire pit, but best of all there are no mosquitos there. I never saw one. This is a great place for a rocking family adventure.

Beautiful family getaway

We loved our time at this property. Dean was super communicative the whole time and the cottage was well stocked with essentials. The lake views were incredible. Plenty of outdoor seating to choose from. We enjoyed daily walks on the private beach collecting sea glass and had many campfires listening to the waves. Close enough drive to Point Pelee National Park for some birding and sightseeing. Thanks for a memorable stay!

3 birding couples had a perfect stay at Dean’s Sunrise Bay cottage. The cottage was extremely clean and well kept. The kitchen was completely outfitted and all the beds were comfortable. Communication with the host was seamless. Our group would surely stay again.

WOW!!!

The house itself was very well kept and extremely clean!! Dean gave very clear instructions on how everything worked and was responsive to any questions. The Beauty of Lake Erie

The property is beautiful many Muskoka chairs a great fire pit, an amazing deck with two private beaches. We live in a condominium and we have a little Shitzu who loved the property chasing the birds and the rabbits. Got to meet Dean nice man

Pure magic!

It is the perfect setting for your sweet escape. Whether you’re leaving city life to recharge your soul, or need peaceful surroundings to quiet your mind, this is the place! The view is inspiring, and the waves crashing along the shoreline was serene. Epic swimming as well! You will see so many beautiful birds, butterflies & fireflies at dusk. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch a Bluejay visiting the feeder. The cottage is decked out with every convenience you’ll need. Spacious, inviting with some special artwork neatly displayed throughout. If you can’t tell, I just loved our week spent at Sunrise. The host, Dean was incredible, always answered our questions without delay, with a sense of humor which is always nice & comforting. Wonderfully quiet and close to nature

We came for a three night visit in early spring, both to do some birding in the region and to observe the total eclipse of the sun. This location was perfect for both. In early April, the yard with its multiple feeders was well stocked with both late winter and early spring birds, and the chance to watch waterbirds pass on the lake was lovely too. Wheatley Provincial Park is right next door, and Point Pelee is just a short drive. The yard has a great firepit and very nice beach access, all of which we enjoyed. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Views and House

Went for the weekend with Mom to go to Point PeeLee to see how it changed since she was last there in the 50s. The cabins she stayed within the park are long gone. Great sunrise and views of migrating birds and monarch butterflies. Lots of room for everyone. Nice location.

Lake Retreat

Gorgeous views. Loads of space. Easy and responsive communication with Dean. Fire pit, deck, private beach, loads of games, all round great place. Extra firewood and an extra tank for the BBQ, very thoughtful. Very clean and very comfortable. Highly recommend for a couple or a family.

Felt a little bad leaving the towels and linens for Dean as there is no accessible laundry but We understand. Great location, out of town but not too far.
