Great Place on the water
Publié le 23 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayFirst I'd like to let you know that Tony is a great host, and communication is easy and fast.
The property is nicely renovated, and right on the water. We've been coming here for years prior to Hurricane Ida, which damaged this and pretty much all properties in the area. This is our first time back since Ida. Tony's done a great job with renovations, and the area is recovering nicely. Great people all around, and right beside an awesome little store with tons of history.
The property was clean, prepared, and as described. We had a great time.

Great "Refresher" in Cocodrie
Publié le 12 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayI grew up fishing out of Dulac but it had been 20 years since I last made a trip. Having bought a new boat for the family, we decided to head south to lower Terrebonne for some R&R for spring break...maybe do some fishing, boat riding, crabbing, eating and just being close to water. Mr. Tony was so very helpful with all my questions before we arrived and I had a decent idea of things to do and where to go for seafood, bait, ice, fuel, etc. The camp took a hit during Ida, downstairs, but the upstairs took me back to our camp, our grandmothers homes, a very familiar, comfortable, everything you need to hang out when the weather doesn't cooperate. The screened in porch upstairs was absolutely the best spot to watch the sunrise, have an evening cocktail and watch the boats go by when it was raining. The downstairs (make sure you turn on chromecast to see the glory it once was) is very usable, fun to fish from, take a nap on the swings, bbq, hang out as a family...I know they'll be back to the former glory and I'm already planning future trips. Easy to get to islands, inside fishing, 5 min from CocoMarina...it felt like i was staying at a friends place. Their uncle's store is so very convenient too! Bait. Beer. Milk. Fuel. and whatever you forgot or need for your trip. Close to Dulac too for a drive over for Chauvin's baitshop/shrimp dock and oysters too. It was a MUCH needed break from the daily grind...kids caught drum, catfish, crabs, dipped up hundreds of shrimp...
