When I got into the room, the thermostat showed 18°C. So I called the front desk for an extra heater. I thought this was Hong Kong, so wi spoke to the person who answered the phone in Cantonese. To my surprise I was told that that person doesn’t understand Cantonese so I spoke to him in English, I got a heater with no problem. But I was thinking what if I cannot speak English. I was really surprised that the front desk of a five star hotel in the Hong Kong doesn’t speak Cantonese.

It was a five minute walk inside and you could still bring your airport cart with your luggage on it all the way into the hotel room was spacious large clean front desk receptionist was exceptional. Breakfast was great. I’ll stay there again for sure.

Room needs refurbishment, urgently. Very outdated, furniture, finishing, terrible. Room service is poor, its is difficult to find options by the QR code. No bottle of water on arrivel, staff at front desk not so kind. Only positive is to be attached to HKG terminal 1, so convenient, but next time I'll try a better one. As time passes it only get worse (that is my 4th stay in the last 10 years, and the last).

The amenities are aged, like in 1940’s! There is not separate shower room, you have to stand on the bathtub for shower with the water soaking your feet because the drain is super slow! The staff is nice! The location is exceptional if you take a flight the next day and don’t like to get up early.
