We had a wonderful stay! The room was very clean and well maintained, which made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. We especially appreciated the personal touches throughout the hotel — they really made the experience feel warm and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious! Overall, a fantastic experience and we would definitely stay again!

We arrived early in the day and we didn’t have to wait long to get into our room, which was perfect after our long flight. The hotel staff is very helpful. Room was smaller but very well equipped. Breakfast was quick and filling. Location was perfect. Highly recommend!

Make sure you’re okay with potentially having bugs/insects in your room. We decided to leave the first night because the room was filled with highway of ants when we arrived. Cleanliness was also subpar, our bathroom had not been properly cleaned.

This hotel is a boutique hotel situated in a residential type area in the old city of Chiang Mai. It’s as if they took a home and then redid the whole thing. The room I was in was a little small, but it did have a loft and it’s OK. You know it was clean efficient. I think this hotel caters more to Young backpackers that’s not to say it wasn’t nice. It was just not a four star hotel. To be fair, I was in a jam at my other hotel where I couldn’t extend my stay so at the last minute I found this place and it was it was fine. I’m 64 now but I would’ve loved this place if I was 20 to 40 years old.

The hotel is lovely and simple, with very good service. However, perhaps because our room was on the ground floor next to the pool, it was quite damp and had a noticeable musty smell. Unfortunately, that made our stay a bit less pleasant.

Pastell is a perfect hotel if you are staying in Chiang Mai for a few days. It is out of the main busy areas so it is more quiet, if that is important to you as it was for us. The coffee and breakfast are complimentary and excellent quality. The staff is kind and accommodating.
