The property was an upstairs apartment in a small building with 3 other apartments. The apartment was pretty spacious, however the walls were very thin so we could hear the inhabitants moving around below and next to us. The train station across the street was very busy, with trains coming through at least every 30 minutes, if not quicker as there were 3 sets of tracks.The parking was not as described and the spaces we were told to use were always taken.While there were cookware and dishes and silverware, there was only 1 butter knife, and no pot holders or oven mitt.Overall, I would be willing to stay here again while on a work trip, but I would not bring my family here again.

We had a mixed experience with this property. We arrived after the designated check-in time and found that the unit had not been cleaned from the previous guests. There were soiled linens on the floor, the beds had been slept in, etc. We contacted the property manager and they were responsive. A cleaning crew arrived about 45 minutes later. They required two hours to clean the unit. The check-in time of 4pm turned into around 8:30pm. The property description mentions that the property is by a train station and you "may hear the train traffic." The trains are very noisy and operate overnight. If you are not accustomed to the noise, you will definitely hear the trains at all hours of the day and night. The bathtub would fill with water when taking a shower. We did contact the property manager to report this and someone was sent to check the plumbing. The issue was not fixed during our stay. The thermostat did not work, as turning it to as high as 80 degrees did not result in any heat. Again, we contacted the property manager and they asked for a picture of the thermostat. Maintenance was sent to the unit but the thermostat was not fixed. Two space heaters were dropped outside the building, but they were left after 10-11pm and we did not get them until the next morning.I requested a refund of the 99 cleaning fee due to the troubles with the unit. It has been 3 weeks and the communications seem to have stopped, so it seems my request is no longer being considered.

Excellent!

Unit as advertised. Roomy and well kept. Very clean and well appointed with huge smart TV, comfy couch and chairs, table and desk to work at, and a bathroom with multiple large towels and plenty of soap/shampoo & TP. Kitchen is spotless and well stocked with all the tools needed and ice in the freezer! Convenient parking. Safe building with touchpad locks on outer door, lobby door, and unit door. Host is super communicative and very timely with responses to questions. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants/bars, takeout, coffee, and the commuter train to Chicago. Will definitely rent again next time I’m traveling there. Thanks!

Quick Weekend Visit

My friends and I enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was very clean and the location was very safe. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Great place for visiting our friend who lived close by.
