There were a few clumps of someones hair in the shower, tub, and trash can. The rooms have no refrigerator or microwave which is really terrible considering how much this hotel costs. I'd rather stay at a lower star hotel for that reason alone. Had to waste the leftover food we had.

Nice hotel. Room on the 19th floor. Nice bed. Outside staff was very helpful with parking. We did not want to valet park as we have a brand new car. Told us how we can self park next door. (much cheaper)

Here’s a shorter and more professional version of your review that still conveys your experience clearly and respectfully: ⸻ I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent stay at the Fairmont Chicago was disappointing—especially compared to the consistently excellent service I’ve received at the Fairmont San Francisco. After a 10-hour flight from Europe, my prepaid Expedia reservation couldn’t be located, despite providing confirmation and receipts. After 30 minutes at the front desk, I was told the room I booked was unavailable but was offered an upgraded room at no additional cost, which I accepted. However, at checkout, I was shocked to see I was charged nearly triple the original amount. It took another 50 minutes and a manager’s review to resolve the issue which had to be done later since I had a flight to catch and was running late by this time. Thankfully, they honored the original price, and I only paid the resort fee which was due at checkout —but the confusion and delays were frustrating and time-consuming. For that reason, I’m rating my experience 3 stars.
