The room was clean and pleasantly decorated! I love that it has a comfortable chair and love seat to relax in. I reserved a “sea view” room and the balcony looks out on the bay. There is an elevator which is very convenient, also. I was only here one night but I’d come back to stay longer next time.

The property was very clean and the pool was well cared for. We have been going to this hotel for many years, and sadly, it’s definitely not quite the same. Check in wasn’t very informative. When I asked why the hot tubs cover was still on, I got, “maybe it’s broken, I don’t know.” and was given a deck of discount cards, but no attempt to look into things. The vibe wasn’t as friendly as it used to be. The other guests were extremely loud and some were smoking on the property. The cleanliness was on par, as it always has been. And I love the location, though.

The overall stay at Waterside was good. The room was clean and comfortable, staff were friendly, breakfast was good, air conditioning worked good and kept the room cool, pool was very nice and clean. The hotel could use some sprucing up. The sliding door to the patio was heavy and very hard to open and close, there was a gap around the bottom and side of the exterior

Very satisfied

Thoroughly enjoyed the Waterside. The staff was very attentive and efficient. Property was very clean. The room was neat and comfortable. Private balcony overlooking the bay was a great place to enjoy the sunrise and sunset. Daily free breakfast was limited to waffles, scrambled eggs, Canadian bacon, biscuits. They also had coffee, orange juice, yogurt, and bottled water. Nice long private pier I would not hesitate to visit again.

The Waterside Inn is as nice as any big chain hotel that I’ve ever stayed in. We originally booked two nights and ended up staying for two more. The rooms were very clean and smelled amazing! And the breakfast was very nice, especially the waffles.

There was no maid service. When we requested they bring us some towels and coffee, it didn't happen. The floors were creaky, and we could hear the people in the room above us moving around during the night. The beds were comfortable and the decor was nice.

Loved the quiet location away from the main center but close enough to go to shopping and restaurants. Bed was very comfortable. The rose garden is a pretty surprise. Enjoyed having to go meals on the dock outdoor tables, the pool was refreshing. Didn't think much of Breakfast, as it was not serve-yourself, someone stood and took your order and it was awkward standing around waiting with other customers for waffles, scrambled eggs and sausage while the tiny waiting area held only one medium table and only tiny table. Coffee was limited and ran out quickly.

Very quaint but at the same time very dated. Floors above creaked. Flies in our room all night. Left at 4:30 am because it was so unbearable. Called to complain maybe to offer at least partial refund and front desk acknowledged the fly problem and blamed it on the housekeeping staff keeping the door open when they cleaned the room earlier in the day.. Also said that the fly problem was being rectified "as we speak" and invited us to try another stay in the future and possibly a discount...no thank you. I would think that they would have offered at least a partial refund knowing they needed to take extra measures to combat the fly infestation and avoid a negative review and show good will. I tried to support local but in this case I regret it.

We always stay at Waterside Inn when visiting Chincoteague. It's a quiet area and not far from anything. Staff is friendly, clean rooms, water views are great, pool is nice, and the roses are beautiful.

We had difficulty with our 2nd floor double room. The sliding glass door didn't work properly and we got locked out on our balcony with our phones inside. We had to shout for help. A kind neighbor came to our aid. Our room door was not locked so he came through and let us out. After speaking with staff, they upgraded us to a nicer room on the 3rd floor with a working balcony door. It was a scary experience. We were thankful for the upgrade, but hope they will replace the door so it doesn't happen to someone else. Otherwise, it is a nice, clean hotel with nice views an amenities. We have stayed there several times.
