Primrose Cottage - sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms
At first glance, Primrose Cottage looks every inch the classic Cotswold hideaway. Charming windows, a light blue doorway and a picture-perfect setting in Broad Campden. Inside, however, it's full of glorious surprises.
The living room wraps you in cosy comfort, with soft neutral tones, wooden beams, and a beautiful, exposed stone wall. The huge open fire is ready to be the heart of your stay, whether it's the background to morning coffee or lazy evenings with a glass of wine. The kitchen brings a modern twist: spacious, stylish, and made for cooking up feasts, with deep navy cupboards adding a bold touch. Upstairs, the bedrooms are bright and impossibly inviting, dressed in plush linens with their own sleek en-suites. The attic room is tucked beneath sloping beams, making it feel like a well-kept, cosy secret.
Step through the French doors from the kitchen into your private outdoor space - a stone terrace set with a table perfect for long summer lunches or evening drinks. A few steps up, the garden opens out: full of lush green grass and flowers with a barbecue ready and waiting. And when you're ready to venture further, Broad Campden's village pub and lovely walking routes are just a short stroll away, with Chipping Campden, Broadway and Blockley all within easy reach. The property was in excellent condition and extremely well presented. Our needs were very well catered for and the cottage had everything we needed - although the hairdryer in bedroom 1 doesnât work. Some suggestions for future guests -1. It would be much better if shower gel and shampoo was included.2. A designated parking space would be very useful3. The auto light in the bathroom goes off when you are in the shower which isnât ideal.Other than these points, this property is the nicest we have ever stayed in and we would definitely use it again.
The cottage was absolutely gorgeous and extremely clean. It was slightly out of the way, a 10 min walk into the village, but we were happy with that. It had all the amenities and was warm and cosy. There are a couple of things that would make it even better. A little bit more crockery and cutlery as we had to put the dishwasher on half empty as we ran out of cups, plates and knives and forks. When we arrived we were really looking forward to getting the fire going. However, there were no matches, firelighters or paper to start it with and had to go out specifically for these things.
