The area is blessed with wonderful things to see and do. The village of Clunes is a beautiful and well preserved hinterland village with an outstanding general store and bottle shop stocking the superb local 'Jilly' wines. Mingle and socialise with the locals on a Thursday at the Clunes wood-fired pizza night or grab some Japanese Gyoza on a Monday or Friday evening. Also in the village you have a butcher, cafe, gift-shop, book shop and a garage/petrol station at your disposal.
It is also a short drive down to Eltham where there is the iconic Eltham Hotel, a classic country pub.
Take a short 15 minute drive to the picturesque township of Bangalow where you will find weekly farmers markets on a Saturday, a great pub, cafes and a variety of shops. The beaches, restaurants and bars of Byron Bay are a further 15 minute drive from Bangalow.
Most weekends play host to fantastic markets in various neighbouring towns and the stunning Minyon Falls and Rocky Creek Dam are 25 minutes drive away for bush walking, picnics and amazing views.
You will require a car to travel around. There is a car port on the property.
Great place to relax and explore the local towns and countryside. The yurt is spacious the bed is comfortable and the sourdough bread breakfast provided is delicious. The views are simply stunning especially from the pool., which is very refreshing and clean. There is only one fault, the path down to the yurt is somewhat rough.
Property Manager chose to cut lawn and wiper snip for a few hours after our arrival.Window was broken, general condition old and worn. Didnât feel clean.
Such an amazing spot. Stunning views, beautiful swimming pool and the spa was available by negotiation.
The yurt itself was such a fun. It is a bit tired but a really great experience
4 nights "glamping' in a yurt, arrived to no host (in Sydney - not mentioned this!). Partner in house but didn't meet us. We carefully accessed via a very dodgy path as told the key was in the yurt for us. I'd enquired about the facilities - pool & spa available for use (April to October). Asked if heated (as it's May & pretty cold). pool isn't but spa is as long as you give the hosts notice to start it. As there's no TV the spa was going to be a good diversion for us. As it was cold we tried to get the air con going to heat - not working! The host Steve messaged us from Sydney to advise we would need to switch it to "heat" which we actually knew & had done - long story short despite many attempts the air con was clearly not working & as raining & cold & basically a tent we needed something. Eventually Steve's partner offered us a free standing heater. We asked her to switch on the spa which she didn't do correctly so in the end told her to leave it until the next day when we were told Steve would be back from Sydney. The yurt was very basic which was fine but it was also quite dirty. The smoke alarm was hanging open with no battery! Deck & pathway very slippery as raining & lighting was insufficient (6 lights only 2 working). I actually fell & sprained my ankle started walking long way round via the house. Eventually transpired spa didn't work - actually had to ask Steve to meet us & after much convincing he believed us! BBQ dirty, zips broken! Checked out early Have photos!
