Séjour propre et confortable mais trop bruyant
Publié le 25 juill. 2020 sur HotelsL'accueil très agréable. La chambre propre et confortable mais l'environnement sonore avec la proximité d'une route de grand passage de camions jour et nuit a gâché le séjour. Les 2 nuits ont été très difficiles.

Thanks for the feedback. Some nights the traffic is noisy and other nights you had hardy hear it.

Quick overnight stay on way to Queensland. Motel convenient, clean and comfortable but very dated.
Warned of traffic noise, however it was Far Worse. Even though earplugs were supplied it couldn't drown out the 1000 plus trucks that passed by. Made worse by the fact that the hotel was on the corner with traffic lights and trucks going down hill.
Owners lovely and helpful, feel sorry for their location.

Great little hotel for an overnight stop.
Clean and tidy. Everything you need.
But so so loud. Unfortunately we had the room closest to the highway and the noise from trucks all night was crazy.

We will not use it again. Reported door catch which caught my tee shirt ripping - it very sharp. Mentioned to staff and reception - very indifferent. Very very noisy - such that they provided ear plugs - and paid $20 extra to secure ground floor room, Rip off.
Will not recommend and never use again.

Thanks for the feedback Paula. We were surprised (rather than indifferent) as there does not appear to be anything wrong with the door latch, and I cant say anyone has ever caught themselves on one before, as well as your suggestion you could sue us which seemed unecessary under the circumstances?! Most guests are appreciative of the complimentary earplugs and many light sleepers welcome the gesture. We have no Queen rooms on the ground floor, so the additional cost was only to upgrade you to an available room type, which we would have advised if you had mentioned your need to be on the ground floor prior to arrival.

Property is adjacent to the highway running through Coffs. HGVs run past the property and our room was at the end of the "block", just 20 metres from the road. It was noisy. Other rooms further away may not have had this problem. Ear plugs were supplied (thus recognising that there is a noise problem) but the other observation of the area is that there are a lot of motels on the same street. Most seemed to be a little further back than the end room we had at the Matador. The room size was good. The air con worked beautifully after a hot day in the car and the pool was nice and refreshing for a cool down.

Near the junction of busy intersections, so lots of traffic noises. Otherwise good value for money. Friendly host.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I had to delay a booking for one night very late in the day because of a family issue and they were totally understanding. This place is ideal for a quick overnight stop, being right next door to the highway. Great motel.
