The Bolthole - Freycinet Holiday Houses
Bolt Hole: A place where a person can escape or hide. A hole in a wall or enclosure where an animal may âboltâ through, used as an escape or emergency exit.
A contemporary open-plan home where you can leave behind the hustle and bustle of everyday living. From the spacious deck gaze at the majesty of The Hazards Mountains and watch the waves crash on Richardsonâs beach, a view which can be fully appreciated from the light-filled main living area comprising open plan dining, lounge and modern style kitchen with butlerâs pantry. A large deck to the rear of the property provides a secluded bushland retreat and further outdoor dining options. On a lower exterior level thereâs an outdoor shower, perfect for washing off the sand from a day at the beach.
The house has reverse cycle air conditioning for your comfort and features a beautiful wood fire for cosy winter getaways. The fireplace can be used from May to September only.
This boutique style accommodation has a versatile layout that provides the comfort and convenience for couples or families to have their own separate space but ample room to come together to appreciate the beautiful views and special features of this comfortable but stylish home.
Location magic. Accomodation out of this world. I would like to however point out that there was limited fire wood in house and none in wood box out back. We did find it the next morning under the house but as we got there at 4.30 freezing cold it was just a bit disappointing. Other than that it was a great stay. Thank you
This accommodation is beautiful although our stay was spoiled due to ANTS! Agreeably, the management had put ant poison above the kitchen counter, unfortunately, the ants crawled up the wall to an ant trap hanging over our heads. We called management and they were well aware of the problem and even came and sprayed. They also told us not to leave any food out, which we had already figured out, we had stored non refrigerator food in the microwave but the ants persisted by attacking my makeup in the master bath. We finally got some relief when we purchased our own can of ant killer, but this was a temporary fix as well.
The other major problem we had was dirty dishes. Upon arrival you will see a notice that informs you that when you leave you are expected not only to wash all the dishes but put them away, which is fine, but the dishes that were there upon our arrival were so dirty we had to wash everything and I mean EVERYTHING before we used it. The cheese grater was so full of cheese it is no wonder there is an ant problem. Also, lifting a pan in one of the drawers revealed a pile of ant eating something.
I hate leaving a bad review but this problem was a known problem and we were not made aware of it and basically told that ants are a problem in the area. We looked at other VRBO's in the area and didn't find any reviews that indicated this. We also stayed in the rainforest and honestly had no problems with any kind of bugs so I believe this issue needs to either be addressed or guests notified of the problem. In regards to the dishes....everyone's idea of 'clean' is different. If the management expected guests to clean all the dishes they should be checking for cleanliness.
Stunning home, spotlessly clean, conveniently located, incredible view of the Hazards.
Stunning and immaculately clean home with all the kitchen amenities. Lounge room has the most incredible view of the Hazards. Rooms are modern, beds comfortable and sheets crispy clean. You wonât be disappointed.
