The home is lovely and sufficiently clean. The view is amazing. The host was very prompt to communicate and accommodating. I have an older disabled son as well as younger children. The stay was perfect for a family.

Great Cabin for our family vaca!

This cabin was a great home base for our family with 3 boys ages 4, 9, and 11. Plenty of space, cozy, and they loved the pac man and basketball games!Super easy access to downtown Manitou Springs, Cave of the Winds, Garden of the Gods, and Pikes Peak, all of which were fantastic places to visit.The host was very communicative and was kind enough to let us in an hour or two early! Truly enjoyed the smell of the sun hitting the Ponderosa's while I enjoyed my morning coffee!Overall fantastic value for a great place. Thank you!

DONT RENT THIS PROPERTY

I read the reviews about this property and still wanted to give it a try after reading about the rodent infestation because it was located right next to pikes peak entrance which sounded amazing . When I arrived at 8 pm to check in I encountered that I wasn't provided my check in info and an Unlocked front door upon inspection. As soon as I entered the home through the unlocked door I was confronted with the beds made & linen thrown on the beds as if dirty. Once I finally was able to reach someone they provided the code for the door. I was told the cleaning lady didn't know we were coming in that night so she only cleaned the house and was going to make up the beds the next day. As I looked around to get to know the home I found many doors that lead to storage's that were not locked nor did they have signs posted saying that they were not to be opened. As soon as I opened a door downstairs I encountered a DEAD MOUSE, rodent droppings around the couch and AC room, upon further inspection the knife drawer in kitchen had RODENT DROPPINGS. In the room with the bunk beds there is a heater in the bathroom that was missing a knob and every-time we turned it on we would get shocked. There was a cabinet downstairs that we thought was a small pantry next to a stove top that is not functioning for "safety reasons" when opened we were in aw of our findings, there was RODENT POISON and DROPPINGS and JUST A PILE OF DIRT EVERYWHERE that "pantry" was an opening to under the home. BEWARE!

Overall Good Experience

The property is cozy and looks exactly like the pictures with beautiful views. We loved that it had 4 restrooms as we had were 2 small families. However we did have the issue that the home wasn't ready for us when we arrived at 4:30. The home wasn't cleaned to our 100% satisfaction but nothing big just a few minor issues.

Great Extended Family Stay

We stayed at this property for a few days over Christmas and found it to be very accommodating for us with small children and our extended family which includes two disabled persons. Having a bathroom in each of the three bedrooms plus a separate bath in the basement gave everyone the privacy needed. The kitchen did not include much by way of spices, but had the essentials as far as dishware and cooking pots/utensils were concerned. Others mentioned road noise and we did not experience that, but it may have been a quiet week due to the holiday. All in all, would definitely stay here again. Very convenient to family flying in/out of CO Springs airport.

Great spot, definitely rustic, but solid. It's a bit away from things...

Overall, GREAT spot, we knew what we were renting. Host was highly responsive, but we navigated a few issues. Would rent again, but location is a bit off of the beat and path!

Overall good experience. Few small and very easily managed issues. Loved having 4 bathrooms! Wood paneling and floors are beautiful. Everyone enjoyed playing the gamez.

Family reunion failed

I booked and confirmed this property in April and the host wrote me in July (two weeks prior to check in demanding that I cancel due to double booking! I was so upset. I had family coming from multiple states - so irresponsible. I worked with VBRO for resolution. I would not recommend this host. Beware of his properties, I have used VBRO for years without issues and thank goodness they were able to assist me. This host should be bared from renting !
