Bedroom and bathroom were quaintly good although both could have been improved by a lick of paint. However, the food was not only very expensive but served luke warm and generally of ordinary quality. The coffee was so strong that it was undrinkable [ a Frenchman would quake at it ! ].

Thank you for your feedback James. We're sorry to hear you didn't enjoy dining with us, our costs are in line with the constant increase from our suppliers but I am shocked to hear it was only luke warm, I have raised this with our Head Chef. We appreciate our coffee is not to everyone's tastes, but our team would have happily made you a weaker coffee if requested.

Potential for so much more

The location is idyllic. And the place itself is OK to stay in. On the plus side. My room was quiet. No noisy neighbour sounds through paper thin walls. A real plus. Tea and coffee selection in room very good (proper coffee bags). Room small but it was a single occupancy. Downside was very hit and miss breakfast - got menu breakfast one morning; buffet style the next with no fruit or yoghurt. Inexperienced staff at times. But all doing the best they could. Despite all that would stay again as location is so pretty.

We do have a variety of room types, maybe a cosy or classic double would be more suited to your next stay. We do vary breakfast between plated and buffet to suit business levels and supplier demands. We do have some new team members and everyone takes time to learn how to do the job. We do hope to welcome you back to Guyers House soon.

Issues with WIFI

Stayed here on a couple of occasions, the WIFI in the room I was staying was non existent throughout my stay. Frustrating as I was there for work. Also no curtain in the bathroom. Also the bar is never manned and same with the front desk, staff I’m assuming from the kitchen will just walk past you and not ask if they can help.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, please do raise wifi concerns with us, we have an IT team who can look into this relatively quickly. Our front desk is manned and although we do not man our bar, we do advise to call us and a member of our team will come over to serve you.

Yes OK but

understaffed, waited 15 minutes before i found a staff member to check-in. One staff floating across bar, reception and restaurant. Breakfast again short staffed, no milk, no one taking orders, no spoons on table or salt/pepper just couldnt handle efficently 6 people at once at 730am Room not clean dead flies on window ledge and floor

2年前に2泊して全てにおいて素晴らしく、今回ももちろん2泊予約しました。 イギリスもエネルギーの高騰など大変な状況下で仕方ないのかもしれないけど追加したイングリッシュブレックファストは有料になりクオリティは最低。ディナーサーブのチームワークも良くなくて残念で眠れなくなるほどでした。 庭も部屋もよかったのに、程の良いビジネスホテルになってしまっていました。 どうか前の状態になってもらえたら、料金が上がってもいきたいと思います。

Second time staying here. Lovely buildings staff always lovely. Comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. Breakfast is very nice
