Room looked run down. Ac units are portable and never cleaned or emptied no screen doors on the doors to the outside. Stains all over. View was good. Restaurant was not bad. Some of the staff at the front desk seemed snippy. Pictures on hotels did not meet expectations of reality

Nice basic hotel with a great view of Cowichan Bay. It is a no smoking facility however being on the fourth floor meant that the smokers who sat below us had all of their smoke, both tobacco and wacky tobacco, wafted up into our room so we could not have the sliding glass door open! They were asked to not smoke outside, and they simply moved to the other side of the bushes. It ruined our stay. More firm action is required by the hotel to enforce the rules or put the smokers on the top floor!

We stayed at Oceanfront Suites at Cowichan Bay for a weekend getaway, as all hotels in the Victoria Harbour were fully booked. We stayed at this hidden gem, the rooms, amenities, and sizing of the room was perfect (especially since there was a full on Living Room suite along with a kitchen to cook meals). The gym had up to date equipment with a bench press and all the free weights, as well as a nice clean pool. The view from the rooms/suites was beautiful, and it was definitely nice to go out there in the early mornings to have your coffee or lounge outside in the evenings on your patio. The only thing that was a dealbreaker was the hotel breakfast option was mediocre, the hashbrowns were burnt, and other breakfast items were average. Other than that, the staff were very helpful and professional, the people living in the area or staying in the hotel were very friendly. It was a quiet neighborhood, no botheration whatsoever and no sketchy people hovering around. Keep up the amazing work!
