The food was not very good. Very limited small buffet for a Hotel with over 1000 rooms. The beach was also not a nice one. Very rocky. The pools were small n not enough for all the people staying there. The service was subpar, always having to call the waiters for drinks at the buffet and at the pools and beach. The room was nice after we changed rooms when arriving. The first room had dead bufs everywhere, even on top of the beds. The shower had no door or curtain. But the second room was good, clean n loved the strong shower. Overall, I did not like Cozumel. It is old and the beaches are not pretty. We took the ferry to Playa del Carmen n vomited the whole way, the ocean was very rough. Will not be going back.

Staff was less than helpful, pools were all ice cold, the beach area was extremely smal - don’t be fooled by the pictures. 4 out of 7 days after our room was cleaned we were not given hand towels or wash clothes. Our soap shelf was busted in the shower and the shower gel became empty on day 3. It took 3 days for the to replace the gel dispenser with a new one. They do not take any restaurant reservations and space is extremely limited - some nights we waited until the after 9, ultimately ending up at the buffet. Most food that came out, unless you ordered from the grill directly was cold-room temp at best. Extremely disappointing to say the least.

I’ve stayed at a number of resorts and all-inclusives in this area over the last 20 years or so. This is the worst I’ve seen and not as described in the listing. Though the grounds were nice and my room was typical, everything else was subpar. I will take ownership for booking something so close to the cruise port… But just know it will ruin your view and it makes for snorkeling that is less nice than anywhere else you will go on the island. The pools are dirty and crowded. There’s not enough seating at the beach or the pool or really at all unless you want to be somewhere very undesirable. Staff do not seem happy and definitely will not go out of their way to provide good service. However the worst part is the food. You will wait for over an hour to eat at one of the restaurants. They do not take reservations. One night we were told the wait was 40 minutes and we waited for over two hours. The buffet is disgusting with burnt and stale food choices. Even in the restaurants the food is not edible. We were served a bowl of chips at the Mexican restaurant which were so old and stale we could’ve broken a tooth. Cheese is a congealed mess, pancakes are black, nothing is worth eating. We left the resort for beach clubs and restaurants. We actually ended our trip early and went to stay somewhere much better. Thank you to Expedia for helping us to negotiate an early cancellation without penalty. The resort did honor an early cancellation so I’ll give them that. Really terrible.

Edgar made the stay so much fun. He gets a huge kudos from all of us (2 parents 2 adult kids and their partners). Our family participated in a lot of activities on the days we weren’t exploring and he made us laugh. The room was great, well stocked, our view was fantastic. Food was pretty good! We just wished there was somewhere to go sit and night like a disco or tables that we could have drinks and played cards. Private beach was lovely. Check in and out was a breeze.

We would go back. There were some things we just absolutely loved, it’s easy to get around, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the beds were comfortable, and it was beautiful. Some downsides would be there’s always a cruise ship blocking half of the view out towards the ocean, the beach area is very small, but bring your own snorkel and you will still enjoy that Out in the water right off the beach. The rooms were clean, could stand to be updated, but we were fine. A few little glitches with some of the lights and the TV, but we really didn’t let it bother us. The food was mostly good, I know there are a lot of reviews that it wasn’t good, but if you get to the buffet earlier rather than on the late side you will enjoy it more. There was always something for everybody! The Mexican and Italian restaurant were very difficult to get into but we did manage to get into the Mexican restaurant one night, which was really good. We did not care for the seafood restaurant, that was probably the worst food experience we had but great service, Just not great food in there for whatever reason.
I highly encourage you to book a scuba diving trip! You don’t have to be certified, they will give you a little lesson and take it easy with you and it is beautiful.

Overall very good . Standouts for this resort were 1. CLeanliness . The cleaning staff is top notch and probably get very little credit . From the bathrooms , guest rooms, beaches and pools . Clean all the time . 2 . The activities with the Funtastic team ! So much fun with the sand volleyball and shows . 3 . The Cafe team of girls made the best lattes 4 . Very comfortable beds and lovely ocean view . Great location . Not so good . Food was good , never great and sometimes cold . Alcohol was watered down . Wine was the only thing not , but you could only get that at then nice / reservation restaurants. Oh .. and Taxis are expensive . Plan to spend 20 dollars at the least to even go 2 Km.

I have stayed at this resort seven times and this will be the last. Not sure if this resort is under new management or broke. Service was horrendous, food sketchy, pools and hot tub were cold, shower fixtures broken, and the usual upkeep of the grounds were non-existent. We were scheduled to stay eight nights, we began looking for flights home the first day and left 6 days early. No refund, no apology. The only thing luxurious about GPR is in the title. The fun left this little resort, save yourself the trouble and book elsewhere. It was getting bad in 2022 but it is sliding downhill rapidly.

This property was very sub-standard and below par in every aspect of what you expect from a decent all inclusive resort. Rooms were clean but things were broken inside the room. Door handles and locks were broken and took multiple calls to get it fixed and that too just barely fixed because it was broken again in 2 days. Safe deposit box was broken and they didn’t fix it after multiple calls. Two small pools and both were over crowded. Seating around the pool was not adequate. People were reserving them by putting their towels at 5-6am … if you go after them you won’t find a place to sit. Same with restaurants too. Small restaurants, not enough seating and huge lines and wait times for every meal. Food quality was terrible, felt they were using very poor quality ingredients. And the biggest issue for us was - no vegetarian options at all. Overall terrible terrible experience

We went there with kids, staff was really good, hotel was clean, food options were not many but enough. Longs lines to get breakfast, lunch and dinner. Big disappointment was, this property has very very small access to beach. Consider there is no beach at all and you can enjoy pool instead. The very tine beach part they have at back was fully covered by cruse parked there for all 4 days of our vacation.

First the reservation was not properly repected i was 100% sure that i reserve 2 adult 1 child . I check over the phone my confirmation. But over the phone nothing there was not full indication. Arriving to the hotel only 2 adults appeared . And they charcged me an extra adult which cost more than half of the original price. After paying the xtra money the room was not as the picture showed , the food was terrible not taste. And other famiis had the same problem. I change hotels now expedia wont rebous me and im fighting to get the extra charge rembous also . Very bad experience. Absoluttly not happy with expedia or the hotel in cozumel.
