Rooms were spotless and serviced every day. Beautiful stay in the middle of woods with a serene and accessible beach. We stayed 5 nights with all inclusive package. Things we loved: - Direct access to the water to snorkel and it was worth it - Beautiful location -Beautiful architecture -love how the light hit the chandeliers in the main area - Clean rooms -Clean pools - Great staff (except front desk) -Loved the New Years celebration Things to be aware of: -there is one pool for activities and kids. There is an adult only pool as well. The hot tub is only for Royal club members. -If you love seafood and meat, there are lot of options. However, vegetarian and vegan food options were limited in the buffet Things to improve on: -Front desk staff need to be trained better. We found them slow and inefficient. -Our keys didn’t work multiple times during our stay. The first time, we had dragged all our luggage to the room only to realize the key wasn’t activated! - Vegetarian options like veg fajitas, enchiladas, etc could be helpful for non meat eaters - Kids activities were all conducted at the pool, would be nice to have some indoor time too. I think the name of the conductor was Jesus, he did a splendid job interacting with kids and making them comfortable. -Guests need to be asked to not reserve beach chairs hours in advance. Some of them just left towels to reserve early AM and only came to the beach at 2PM, while others had to sit on sand instead.

Food and service were subpar. (We are not picky eaters). At the buffet restaurants ( lunch and dinner). Multiple food would dishes would run out and not be restocked for over half hour. May not get water till done with meal. The lodging was excellent and the beach area nice. Would go again because of the quietness and beach area.

The food was very bad breakfast lunch and dinner very bad even the restaurant were bad nothing to do at the resort. Beach closes at night. The bars don't even open until 11:30 never experienced that before so sad will never be returning

We have been going to this resort since it’s opening We love the relaxed vibe, the cleanliness and the great staff. The meals at the Carreta (Royal Club) restaurant were excellent as is the staff there. Filet and Salmon ❤️ We ate at the buffet for lunch. We always arrived at opening It was adequate and a bit lower in selection than in past years. I miss the grilled fish as only fish offered was in sauce. The fresh chips didn’t come out until much later after we had left the restaurant.Chips, piqua de gallo, and guacamole with fresh grilled fish has always been my go to. There did seem to be seafood each day, but that’s a no go for me. Jovanni did a great job at the pool, and the gals were always around to bring drinks! Victor, at the adult pool makes THE BEST MARGARITAS ON THE ROCKS! We hope to return next year

When you was at your room everything was peaceful and quiet. You could relax on the patio and see animals wonder by. If it wasn’t for the omelette bar I wouldn’t have like the breakfast as much as I did!

The resort and royal level room were amazing! The beach was private with a shark net protecting it. Plenty of lawn chairs and the service was great as well. The only complaint we had with the resort, was the food. You only get 1 reservation for every 2 days you stay at the resort. You can use this reservation at any of the 3 restaurants onsite. Outside of this though, you are stuck eating at the buffet. The food for breakfast and dinner were terrible. The refried black beans were 50% water. The rice was only plain white rice. There was never any seafood available. We would get sick everytime we ate the buffet food. If we did this resort again, we would skip the buffet and order room service or leave to eat outside the resort next time. The restaurant food was good, just the buffet that was terrible.

The room was spacious and very clean. The staff was friendly. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. The only issues were the boat traffic made the water rough and murky so difficult to snorkel, the beach area is cramped, no elevator and was on the 3rd floor, and the A/C was very loud (but worked well). Overall it was a nice stay.
