This island home is your perfect vacation getaway!. Our home is located a short walk or even shorter drive from the beach and fishing pier and the golf course is 1/2 mile away! It is just off the bike trail and Salt Creek playground. The home also backs up to Salt Creek, a quiet creek which is great for birding, fishing, or kayaking from the backyard!

Furnished in the latest island style, this home features a gourmet kitchen with stainless appliances and granite countertops, and 3 bathrooms, one with dual shower heads and another with a deep soaking tub. Three bedrooms have direct bath access. The 4th bedroom upstairs has a tv and games., full size bed and two twin beds with Tuft and Needle mattresses. This room is most comfortable for up to 4 children or 3 adults due to bed sizes (2 twin and 1 full).

The outside life is great on Dauphin Island, and you will enjoy the luxury of your own 12 x 20 heated (off season) fun pool. The entire large back porch is screened in so you can enjoy the outdoor life even more! Note that we do not charge extra for pool heating, and are not responsible if weather conditions or occasional mechanical issues prevent the pool from being warm (the pool is a heat pump and will not function in weather under about 50 degrees).

We are located near the multi use bike path, bicycles are available to rent on the island, we do not provide bicycles.

Great stay!

This home was exactly as advertised. Close to everything this quiet island has to offer. Pool was fantastic! Store room was stocked with everything you could think of from bikes to beach equipment and everything in between! Ample towels, comfy beds and plenty of space for the 8 adults in our group. The homes built in ice maker was the cherry on top for this stay. It was so nice to not have to purchase ice and have plenty on hand for drinks and coolers! 10 out of 10 would recommend this home!

Girl’s Family vacay

We had a very relaxing family girls vacation and enjoyed it immensely!! The beds were very comfortable and so much space ! Herons nest -dauphin island house was just as described! It was so close to the golf course and restaurants and shops . The house decor was great , and had a wonderful vacation peaceful vibe to it. ALL the extras : games, pool accessories, bikes .. and anything you might need if you forgot to pack . We especially enjoyed the pool and the bird watching was awesome- yes we did get to see the herons and so many other birds !! and also a big plus - the host was quick to respond to any questions .

Amazing property!

My family of six thoroughly enjoyed this house! The space was great and there were so many amenities, including lots of pool floaties and beach toys. The pool was definitely our favorite part! The trees surrounding the property made it feel very private and secluded, which was great. We all felt so comfortable here! When we had an issue with the oven not working, Julie was so easy to get a hold of and solved the problem quickly. The only thing I would add is towels for the pool. We drove so it wasn’t a big deal to bring our own, but if people are flying in, it might be more of a hassle to bring them along. We would definitely stay here again!!

Family Fun

Our second stay at this home!

We have been renting homes on VRBO for over 20 years and we have had some great rentals. This is the first one we have stayed at for a second time- and we hope to come back again next year!! The house is absolutely perfect. It is spacious and has every amenity you can think of. The beds are super comfy- even for the one in our party who is pretty particular about such things! We have been staying in April and the water temperature in the pool is perfect! We are up and out daily as dawn breaks and we are usually heading to Shell Mounds to see what birds might be migrating through. Some days we are delayed as there are often some pretty amazing birds right there in our own yard! This year we had a bald eagle who would regularly come and sit in the pines. Some days he was just resting- other days he would come in with his catch of the day and we would have some really up close and personal views of him. The house is centrally located on the island-you can get anywhere in just a few minutes! We regularly got take out from various restaurants and would bring the food back to eat on the screened in porch so we could watch the wildlife while we ate. The yard is large and private and surrounded by woods and the brook in the back. Julie is the perfect hostess- if you ever have any questions- she responds immediately. I am so thankful we have found this home, it really is our slice our heaven get-away! Thank you so much for sharing your home!

Exceptional Home on Dauphin Island

We have never stayed in a property so well appointed before 
 every detail was seen to and well thought out. The kitchen was simply superb with every item imaginable available and in good supply. The same could be said for the entire house, inside and out/poolside. The dorm-style room upstairs proved perfect for the grandkids. The laundry was exceptionally handy. Closets and storage kept us easily organized. The owners were extremely accommodating, personable, and attentive 
 genuinely caring for our needs. We simply cannot recommend this home enough!

Well stocked, extremely comfortable and spacious!

I can’t say enough good things about the house and the hosts. The house is amazingly well stocked, especially for kids. Not having to drag all our baby gear down was so helpful. The beds are very comfortable with high quality sheets, there are so many spaces to be you never feel crowded and there is great space away from the neighbors. We much prefer the smaller, local, unhurried feel of Dauphin Island over the hurried, commercialized feel of Ft Morgan/Gulf Shores. Hosts are responsive and easy to work with. I’ve already recommended this place to friends!
