A very different experience from staying in most other hotels and guest houses. This is more akin to a 'home stay' where you are truly a family guest.
For us we instantly felt the difference in a very positive way- as we settled in we instantly felt extremely relaxed.
The rooms have lovely views of the surrounding countryside and you can watch the clouds pass by in the sky while laying back in the bath if you choose.
Quite a remote location - but the local walk was lovely.
The decor was varied with interesting furniture and small art items - it really took us away from the humdrum.
The cooked breakfast was very fine indeed and the coffee was tasty. Heck, even the butter for the toast was nice and soft and easy to spread.
We loved our stay.

Possibly one of my favourite ever places I've stayed at in 25 years of travelling for business. I've recommended it to all of my work colleagues.

Cleanliness was perfect and everything you needed in the room. Very welcoming hosts Lizzie and David. Beautiful breakfast which set you up for the day. Will definitely stay again. Thank you.

What a find.
Publié le 25 mars 2023 sur HotelsI cannot find the words to describe the clock tower B&B. Situated at the end of a long drive the most amazing building appears and that is just the start. From the minute i parked in the drive Lizzie was the ultimate perfect hostess she showed us around her wonderful house and the rooms were amazing with the views even better even on a damp and dreary day. Nothing was too much trouble and i cannot rate this place highly enough. I will definitely try to get booked in again if ever in the area.

We wanted a quick family night away during half-term. This looked like an interesting and quirky place with lots of character, and so it turned out when we arrived. Lovely big room with a view over the countryside, and more than enough space for two adults and two kids to lounge. Very quiet, which we liked, as we did the delicious breakfast. David and Lizzie were very welcoming and helpful, and pointed us towards walks, dining options, etc, which allowed us to make the most of our short stay. They also dealt perfectly with the fact that one of our family has a fear of dogs, which we really appreciated. Having not stayed at a B&B-type property for a while, this was a refreshing reminder of how good it can be. Would love to visit again once the evenings get brighter.
