I liked that the Acala Hotel was different. From the outside it looked like a typical store front, but when you walk inside you're in the hotel lobby. I used rhe stairs and on each level at the top of the stairs was a seating area. It was somethng different. I was exploring just walking around and at the end of one of the hallways was a balcony with a view of the shops on the street. I would recommend the Alcala Hotel. I will stay there again. Also they have a restaurant with very good food. The workers are all very courteous, and helpful. I enjoyed my stay.

The area is not that great but I liked it because it was near the bus terminal. The hotel itself is a nice facility at a good price and the restaurant was good food at a reasonable price. I would return if I was in the area.

The best thing was they had their own restaurant with excellent service and most delicious food!! The front desk was very friendly and helpful! The cleaning ladies did a great job and kept our room very clean!

Have stayed here many times. Always consistent. The restaurant is good and the staff is very friendly. Ask for Jose. David has limited restaurants that may appeal to American tastes. If you are visiting I suggest you try Boquete where you will be pleased. If spending a few nights in David then Alcala is certainly acceptable. I have lived here for 4 years so I have a little experience in these things.
