Walk to the slopes from this beautiful mountain home! Views, Views, Views!

Wow! This really is Timber VIEW!! Yes, with an emphasis on view. In winter, this lovely contemporary home is a skier's dream. It is a short walk to and from Timberline Mountain's Twister and Winterset trails. Weary skiers are sure to appreciate the outdoor hot tub. Spring, summer and fall visitors will enjoy wonderful views and easy access to Blackwater Falls, Canaan Resort, Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge and more. The generous loft provides room for puzzling or game playing. With two living rooms, there is plenty of space to separate the teens, tweens, and adults. Timber View might just become your go-to when planning some mountain time in Canaan Valley. Four-wheel drive vehicles are definitely required for winter access.

We had a wonderful time on our trip! The house was well equipped and very convenient for skiing. The view was lovely! There was plenty of room for our extended family, and we really enjoyed ourselves.

A Super View

5 bedrooms and and extra bathrooms were a plus. Having a large den and kitchen combo was super for a large family. Our oldest son and wife and kids stayed downstairs in the bedroom next to the bunk room. They shared a bathroom. A third bedroom was across the den area on the other side that had a king size bed and large bathroom. The grandkids enjoyed the den space for watching tv, reading and playing games.The upstairs housed two bedrooms and two bathrooms with a small den area containing a table and lounging couch and chair. Our youngest son and his wife used one of the bedrooms for their infant son which worked well. There was plenty of wood for the fire pit and we called the office each day for garbage pickup. Our family enjoyed the hot tub at night. The office personnel were very nice and helpful. They are working with the property owners to have the washer unit repaired. We were overall pleased with our stay and enjoyed many beautiful sunsets off the large balcony.

Decent property in Davis but not as advertised

The property needed a lot of repair and replacement, unfortunately. The photos shown online were VERY deceiving. The cabin was dirty (fingerprints all over the windows, countertop sticky and kitchen floor needed mopping). There were at least a few hundred dead flies on the windowsills upstairs. The furniture throughout the house with the exception of one bedroom was extremely old worn out and in need of replacement. The comforter in the one bedroom that was decent had a huge hole in it. The gas fireplace would not light. The kitchen did not have adequate pots, pans and what it had was very old and put away dirty. EVERY plate was chipped. Additionally, the online photo showed an espresso machine which also was not there. Not at all worth the money paid ESPECIALLY the cleaning fee. Will not return.

It was good except the dishwasher backed up and we had to unclog the line
now understand why the wooden kitchen floor is warped
would guess this has happened before. Also, the king bedroom on lowest floor has a shower that doesn’t get hot water and the soak tub in the main floor king bath isn’t connected to plumbing. Other than that, it was great

Nice view BUT dirty and cheaply furnished/KEEP SEARCHING

Gross, from the lack of cleanliness and neglect for everyday comforts (poor quality bed pillows, cheap and dirty bedspreads, inadequate flat wear for all of us--12--to share a meal) to drawers full of mouse droppings and window sills covered with hundreds of dead bugs, your money is better spent elsewhere. Walls have holes, washing machine and TVs didn't work, this property just showed subpar efforts to even the minimum of cleaning, comfort, or maintenance throughout. I was disappointed by the conditions and chafed to put my family in the position to stay in such a poorly appointed property (toilet paper holders falling out of the wall, free standing tub without plumbing, 3 bean bag chairs devoid of 'beans', just empty sacs). Note that the property photos do NOT include any of the bathrooms...The whole place just seemed ratty and neglected and that the furnishings were leftover odds and ends (one of the bunk bed 'blankets' was an old sleeping bag with a broken zipper and stuffing coming out of a large hole). Although the rental agency was very helpful and responsive (it was 31degrees and this property didn't have blankets--staff provided them from their own personal homes), the house itself showed no pride in ownership. I can not recommend this property.

Spacious and VERY close walk to Dewdrop

The house was spacious so 13 was very comfortable. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need plus more! Hot water went out and property manager responded immediately. The littlest skiers among us (5) could have used actual ski-in/ski-out because
 short little legs. But adults thought short walk no big deal at all.

Great House for our group

Very spacious with en suites for all but two bedrooms (a bunk room and queen share a bath off the rec room). That was very nice for our multiple families. The house is beautiful and convenient to slopes.

We had a great stay at Timberview! Lovely house and was very clean upon arrival. Several light bulbs need replaced. Great ski in/ski out location. A short walk to the blue square that quickly led to a green dot location.

Family reunion

Excellent time, hiking, visiting, sightseeing, eating. Our party consisted of an age group of 30-94 and had several excellent cooks and wine snobs. Because of this, we were unable to partake of the various local restaurants, but we ate extremely good, gourmet meals. Looking forward to doing it all over again!!!
