The front desk did an excellent job of taking care of us. The hotel, pool and grounds are very well maintained and are beautiful. It is in fact an Oasis in the Desert. Highly recommend it.

Location is perfect for exploring Death Valley. The hotel history adds to the overall experience as do the amenities and grounds. Lots of different terraces to enjoy a sunrise, sunset or the stars at night. The bed, bedding and room amenities were as expected clean and comfortable with the exception of our A/C not working. The hotel was very busy and they didn’t have anyone to fix it. Fortunately the room fan was adequate but the front desk communication and follow up on this issue was very poor. We had drinks on the terrace and the bartender, Jack, was wonderful as was Brooke who served us in the restaurant and gave us great advice on where to see the stars at night. The red snapper was also delicious! I would stay here again but make sure I had a room with working AC.

Staff was amazing (5 stars for staff! Very friendly & helpful). Stargazing deck was lovely. Bed comfy. Only have 4 stars because not sure the cost of the room was worth it. Minor point, but the room was fully properly stocked with extra amenities. The sewing kit & makeup kit were empty. The tea bags, and half and half were not there. Again, minor point, but at over $700 a night, it did not seem like 5 star place. Next time would likely book at neighboring partner hotel instead, which is only a few mins away. If money is no object though, the Inn at Death Valley is a wonderful hotel.

This is the “only” place to stay in Death Valley. The “Inn” is excellent a true and beautiful oasis. The sister property in Furnace Creek (breakfast brunch) is my only negative comments. Don’t do it”. Not clean, food not refreshed, old food on the bottom of my new plate. I received a refund and when back up the “Inn” for a proper meal.

Clean room (But it did kinda smell funky.) The patio outside of the room offers a very relaxing, scenic easy to start and end the day. The staff were all super nice. Everyone we encountered was approachable and friendly.

The check in was not smooth and the staff weren’t very confident in the computer process. We did not have reservations at the restaurant and thought we could just pick up something quick but there were no options except requiring reservations. The desk staff did not have recommendations but we found a restaurant with openings 24 miles away in Stovepipe Wells.

Room was clean and in good condition, bed was comfortable and staff were helpful. The grounds were well kept, pool was a bit cool. Food at restaurant was disappointing. I had the toughest pork chop ever. I had to saw it, using more muscle than normal. Wife's enchilada was mediocre. Wine choice by the glass was very limited. They were out of the cab listed on the menu. The substitute "Born of Fire" 2018 from Columbia Valley was surprisingly good. When I ordered 2nd glass we asked waitress to bring the bottle so we could take a picture. When she brought the refill, she said the bottle had been tossed and there was no more!? We gave our main courses a D and C, respectively. Desert, cheese cake, was so so. So the $174 dinner was worth much less. The hotel seems to have passed its prime. Elevator was slow and creaky. Had to call front desk for coffee packets.

The staff was really nice. We were given a suite on the towers, which was quite large. The problem was that in those days the elevator was out of service and we had to carry two huge suitcases up 3 flights of stairs. Furthermore, there is carpet everywhere and the room smelled a little bit (I think the reason was the old carpet). Overall a good experience in the Death Valley National Park.
