Reasonable Hotel

The hotel was adequate. It was dated but clean. The refrigerator in our room did not work, but to be fair, I did not report it because I didn't want to be bothered with them fixing or replacing it. I would recommend it as a good place to stay if you want to visit the Arc Encounter.

The check in was easy and efficient. The room was pretty nice although we would have preferred tile floors to carpeting. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was decent and we liked the “fixed” shower as opposed to the portable shower attachments in some handicap-accessible ones. The breakfast bar was good although the only yogurt option was “lite.” We wanted “regular” yogurt. Check-out was easy. Overall a good stay but it would have been even better with the above improvements.

Mildew smell in the room was absolutely horrible. Almost inhabitable. Breakfast was horrible. Dried up frozen breakfast sausages with microwave eggs with dented apples. They can do better. I will avoid this hotel for sure.

The hotel seemed a bit dated and there was an odd (not musty) smell, especially for a hotel rated 8.0 or higher, the expectation is a little better. There was calcification build up on the shower head and the mattress was a bit too soft. Breakfast was okay and parking was available.

Zero out of ten

Not a good experience at all, so much so that we didn’t even return and had to book a separate hotel for the remainder of our trip, losing our money because we were denied a refund. The place had a strong moldy odor and was incredibly humid, to the point where everything in our room was moist. We tried running the A/C to see if it would help, unfortunately it did not. I have asthma and my daughter is chronically ill so when we communicated this to them and told them we couldn’t stay in the room, their response was “I understand” and nothing more. Incredibly displeased and will not be back, nor recommending it to anyone.
