Our 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom condo (La Plata Loft - 206 College) is all about it's exceptional location as it is located in heart of Durango's historic tourist district. The condo is just 2 blocks from the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Depot and a seemingly endless supply of restaurants, shops and galleries on Main Avenue

The condo was furnished with high end furnishings and both pull out sofas are from American Leather Sleeper, which is the most comfortable pull out sofa on the market.

Bed Configuration:
Master Bedroom - King with TV and Ensuite Bath (2nd Floor)
2nd Bedroom - Twin and twin sofa sleepers. (2nd Floor)
Main Living Space - King Pull Out Sofa (Main Floor)

The front door to the condo is on the 2nd level so stairs are required from the the street entrance.

This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs max and the pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay).

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

Beautiful house in a perfect location. Just a short block and a half walk away from Main St. The neighborhood is quiet and the locals are very friendly. We saw deer our daily walks with the dogs. Check in was a bit confusing as there is a door into the entrance, which the code was not listed in chek in. I did send a text and got a quick text back with the info. Front door to the house was unlocked upon our arrival so it felt a little nervous walking in. Check out with the code was a bit difficult, and I'm not sure if I did it right. Overall great place and great host! Love tgat it is a pet friendly place.

We loved the area of the condo. It was quiet ,for the most part. Close to everything that we wanted to do. We had multiple vehicles, so being aboe to park cliae by was nice. We were quite comfortable with all that was offered in the condo. It felt safe and well lit. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

This property has everything g you need and is perfect for walking to everything. Host is excellent with communication and there was nothing we had to ask for or question with the stay. Perfect house for a family or single. If you have a larger vehicle like we do(Chevy 3500 long bed) parking is a little tight just know that but we made it work, other than this everything with the property is excellent!! Will recommend and will rebook when we go back!

Great location with plenty of space

This is a very clean and spacious townhome located in the heart of it all. It is great for a couple or small family. Views of mountains and city. Walking distance to everything you need. We would have no problem staying here again in the future.

Cool condo; great location

Very nicely decorated and clean condo in a convenient location. It is very close to the Historic Downtown so close to the train station, restaurants/bars, and shops. The management company was quickly responsive to our questions. But two points that are not clear on the website: 1) the on-site parking can't hold anything bigger than a Tundra pickup truck. And there is no way to overlap. There is free street parking nearby, but on the weekend, that gets full. 2) the website does say in small print that the condo apartment is on the second floor (with no elevator). But the bedrooms are up another long flight of stairs. These 2 issues caused us some difficulty, so I'll give them 4 stars instead of 5.

Nice condo in the heart of downtown!

We very much enjoyed our stay! Great to walk everywhere to shop and eat. Felt safe although there were some homeless people. Parking spot is tight but could still park our Ford 250 short bed truck. Condo had everything, nice appliances, except coffee pot needs replacing. Also, needed more paper towels and had to buy tissues and hand soap. Would stay again!

Things to know before renting this location

So this is an average review. You will probably like this property if you rent it in the winter and have a pet. If you don't meet both of those, you may not enjoy the rental. They have an A/C issue that requires the AC to not go below 68 (they have a sign) because it locks up. There is one unit for both floors so this means the bedroom is usually 8 degrees hotter. To get the house cool you have to close all blinds and run the unit all day to get the downstairs cool. They know they have a problem and have lots of fans to compensate. The rental has a musty pet smell. Lastly, make sure that you have two codes (which are different) to get into the property. Their VRBO listing only had one. Their e-mail had both, but we did not know this and spent 20 minutes trying to get in. The property is managed (and maybe owned) by a company. When I shared the issues they kept nicely saying I was wrong. I told them I could send them a picture of both the AC issue and the instructions from VRBO, which they said was not necessary, but never apologized. So not a great experience and we would not rent this location again.

Wasted $$

We stayed here for two nights. The upside of the property is that it’s easy walking distance from downtown. The property was also kept clean. There are numerous negatives: -parking space is awful—cannot even get your stuff out of the car it’s so tight. -The unit is pretty worn down—worn out bed, both blinds in the primary bedroom are broken, kitchen sink faucet was broken. -it is in a VERY noisy location With all of these downsides, we just didn’t feel very comfortable there and certainly did not feel like there was value in the cost of renting. We would look elsewhere for our next Durango visit.

It was as expected. A little expensive but a large unit with plenty of space, clean and right in the middle of restaurants with surrounding cute shops. None of which we could visit due to the time constraints.

The condo was perfect for us. We were able to walk to Durango Steam Train, Mesa Verde Tour office, and all over Downtown. The Condo was clean, provided starter kits for kitchen and bathrooms and a great balcony for people watching. Will stay there again on our next trip!

Great Location, Needs some TLC

Property was in a great location and the listing was accurate. Several items at the property were broken, the AC did not work but was repaired by the owner promptly after being notified. The shades over the sliding glass door in the kitchen did not work. The pull out bed in the guest bedroom had a missing leg that made it wobble while sleeping on it. Also the reserved parking space was too small to fit a F-150 sized truck. All these items really didnt amount to too much inconvenience hence the four star rating. Once fixed this is a five star property.
