Family visit

Stay was fine, staff were friendly and it was great they had a gym/Spa/pool. Location was ideal for me as I was visiting family in the area..Train station is walking distance and is a 7min train ride to the city centre, which is awesome and less than £5 for a return ticket. Some things… 1. Our room was very hot at night! No AC, weather was seasonally hotter (July) than normal, however at 18° outside the room was very hot. The hotel supplied 2 fans which did help but they do advertise AC in some rooms..I asked to be moved but only 1 room (family room) has AC and it was occupied. 2. £18 for a breakfast! This seems a lot..the food was good and the coffee machine was excellent but it’s not a city centre location or high-end hotel..we went to local cafe in Portobello and the food was very good at a more reasonable price of $12. Overall, nice hotel, very nice staff. Needs AC even if it’s only for a few weeks of the year that you would have it on.

Fantastic hotel, well manned staff, great facilities, pool was especially nice added comfort (free access to it) made for a fun time. Breakfast is a must, the food was of great quality and plenty of it. Very simple to navigate. The builing being connected to a bar, lounge, spa, Breakfast hall and hotel is simply amazing. Lunch/dinner fantastic, recommend you try the brownies. Building very nice great location not far from shops and activitys, while also being nicely tucked away from the busier side of Edinburgh also close to rail station. Simple bus ride into main Edinburgh, or train makes for a great spot promise you wont regret staying here 10/10 can't wait to stay with your hotel again.

Excellent leisure facilities, nice pool, sauna and steam room. The buffet breakfast was delicious with lots of choices and variety. Bus stop right outside the hotel so easy commute into Edinburgh and walking distance of Portobello beach. Room had everything needed for our short stay. I would definitely use this hotel again.
