I can't comment because we didn't stay there. Expedia was supposed to book us at a hotel in Emporia, KANSAS, NOT the Knight's Inn in Emporia, VIRGINIA. The hotel in Kansas that Expedia booked us at (and sent us a confirmation for at the Kansas location) had gone out of business, thereby necessitating us to book a hotel on our own in Emporia, Kansas. I have alerted Expedia of the error and requested a refund. Feel free to contact me if you desire more information at info@bloomsdaybooks.com

Nice room but lacked in other areas

The room at this Clarion was recently upgraded. So the room and bathroom were nice. However the outside of the building such as the second level walkway was falling apart significantly. We were not pleased at all with their included hot breakfast. The eggs were powered scrambled, there was no juice selection, no donuts, bagels or English muffins, the sausage was not good. They had 4 pieces of bread in plastic bags for toast and 3 apples. No other fruit or yogurt. They did have waffles and cereal.

The property had been renovated and the room had updated fixturesand amenities. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice stay

Lobby, ballrooms, breakfast area was very nicely updated. Room was clean and looked newly remodeled. Beds were comfortable.Our room Door opened to the outside, but I noticed some rooms opened to an inside hallway.

Comfortable

This hotel is a bit pricey but the bed was comfortable. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't any batter left to make waffles but there were eggs, sausage and other items to choose from for breakfast.
