Rug needs to be cleaned but otherwise very good. Hard to figure out exactly where the hotel is, recessed off the main road. Also shares the entry road with two busy fast food restaurants. Sometimes difficult to get back to the hotel after leaving for awhile

We’ve had decent luck with previous stays at Holiday Inn Expresses but this particular one was below standards. The carpet in our room was so dirty that the bottom of my socks were brown after walking around the room in them. Also, although not a huge issue, there is an In & Out Burger next door in the path of the entrance to the hotel which made it somewhat difficult to enter and exit the hotel parking lot. We probably won’t chose this hotel again if we stay in Escondido.

I stayed for 11 days. At check in she made sure I had a room that was not facing the highway so I could have a quiet relaxing stay. The staff was always smiling and friendly. I came back late on Saturday night and noticed there was security keeping the parking lot safe and felt secure in getting my belongings out of my car. Housekeeping made sure to spread my personal blanket out on the bed which made it an extra special feel.

Location was scary and lots of sketchy people in the area and since the location has busy intersection, lots of cars and lots of shopping centers, which is always busy and loud. The bathroom had broken tile and was outdated.

Property felt safe and was very clean. The only issue I had was the elevator and walkway to our room felt stuffy and hot, and the room had a mildew-like smell to it. Other than that it was a safe and clean option to stay overnight. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
