The general cleanliness was fine, but the ceilings had stains and dirty tiles. The bathroom fan looked as it had never been cleaned. The bedding and towels all had stains.

I dont like bed bugs present in all rooms. We did not stay, loaded upand went somewhere else

It was clean and everything worked as it should. Staff was cool and even let us check in early. I absolutely will be back again.

THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THE TRAIN COMIMG THROUGH - DURING THE NIGHT HOURS - BUT THAT IS JUST PART OF STAYING IN A SMALL HISTORIC TOWN IN THE LOW COUNTRY OF SC

Run-down, but you get what you pay for

Pros: Low cost, location to total solar eclipse.
Cons: This motel is in MAJOR need of upgrades - See above, plus the shared ice-maker did not have a lid (ice cubes were fully exposed to the elements).
Location: Not much - This is very small-town South Carolina.
We needed a place to sleep the night before the total eclipse, and for that purpose, the second room that the manager assigned to us was satisfactory, not great. The FIRST room was a total disaster - Extremely worn carpets, missing ceiling tiles, and above the tub waste-water POURED out from the shower in the room above when it was being used. Totally gross. To their credit, the manager moved us quickly into a better room.
