Clean and beautiful

This place was TERRIBLE - Dogs barking all night and staff refused to call police. Front desk staff was super rude with Lucci throwing the keys at me instead of handing them over. Do not stay here.

Pros: Centrally located. Good maid service. Morning staff was very helpfull. Cons: Very warm room. Informed front desk. We were told to open the windows because the AC was closed. Unfortunately, it was noisy and a swarm of mosquitos entered and stung us continously. Pillows were very unconfortably thin and hard. We asked for more pillows but were told to use the ones in the closet, which were also very bad.

We are really sorry about that !As we explained, in November usually it is very cold and for that air condition is off. The same for the mosquitos, it is very strange that there are mosquitos in this period, but the temperature was very strange.We hope to meet you again and maybe it will be better that this stay !

I’ve stayed at many hotels across Italy and spent good money on this one because of the rating. Dirty with extremely uncomfortable mattresses. My VIP was a beautiful bottle of wine with two disgustingly dirty wine glasses. Location is 10/10 but the hotel my sister stayed at down the street was clean and much better and cheaper.

Near train Santa maria Novella station. Walking distance to EVERYTHING in Florence. Nice safe area.

Great hotel in top location. So close to train station and beautiful piazza ! Lots of food options near and close to all the sights of Florence! Wish we had a few nights more to enjoy the area.

I believe some of the one star reviews are from a mismatched expectation and experience, due largely to the hotel advertising rooms that don’t match all of their offerings. Hopefully the hotel clarifies their room differences so guests will not be disappointed by the rooms, as personally I wouldn’t have paid the premium price here to stay in a classic room. I’ll try to share all my facts so that if you book you can best prepare for a great stay . Very cordial and polite staff who do their best to accommodate you, but you may be very unhappy if you end up booked in a nonrenovated room and there is no chance to change. It is important to know that the majority of photos (hardwood floors, white comforters, walk in showers) are of their newly renovated “modern” rooms, but you may land in a “classic” room instead. I recommend contacting the hotel in advance to confirm room assignment if this matters to you. The classic rooms are not renovated- tubs, carpet, yellow covers. We were initially checked into a “classic” and the ac did not work well to control the humidity. when I realized at 1130 pm there was NO blanket, the gentleman manning the front desk empathized with me but could not (would not?) leave his post to get a blanket. Between the damp, the cold, and the carpet, we woke up with runny noses and allergies. I look for hotels with hard floors for this reason. Very nice hotel, good walking distance to the train station, Uffizi galery, Academia and many other attractions and restaurants. I would stay there again, the ambiance is very stylish!
