The only officially endorsed review by VRBO is the one by the VRBO bear. Within the bear stay program, a member of VRBO's team personally stayed at our property about six weeks prior to these guests. The bear evaluated us based on a standardized set of criteria and checklists. We reached 100% of all possible ratings. The VRBO's bear stay review is a true and honest assessment of our property just like the other 30+ reviewers wrote a true and unbiased review. As with regards to this guest and his specific review, basically none of his allegations are true. To make a long story short, we cannot exclude that this group tried to get a free stay and when this plan didn't work out they wrote a bad review as retaliation. They even tried to get a chargeback on their credit card by falsely stating that they had canceled their stay. This party paid for 5 guests but at the end of the day they had many more staying at the property. This is one of the reasons for withholding the deposit. And it's also the first and only time so far we have ever withheld the deposit to any VRBO guest in four years! They arrived at 1 PM, so the cleaners were still onsite working on the job. If there had been a problem, they could have told them right away. If you arrive at 1 PM you have a lot of options to react. If it had been as described above. they could have complained with us or Homeaway but they didn't and the reason is very simple: There was nothing to complain about. Actually, we invested more than $50'000 over the past four years and another $6'000 in 2016 to update the property, so almost everything is new. There are also no dangerous cables anywhere. Everything at this property is according to code. As with the toilets, both(!) of them were clogged 48 hours after these guests arrived. The person who unclogged them found about 12 large sanitary wipes per toilet and not sand as falsely stated in this review. It was foreseeable that both toilets would get stuck. And only 30 minutes after this happened and although our staff was already addressing the issue onsite, this group requested a full refund for their stay. This is not just a rental property. It's our home and we share it with other guests to cover our costs. We have three children, the youngest was four when we bought the property and everything is as childproof as possible!

Plenty of sun beds and garden sets . It is adjacent to the canal but you have absolutely no problems with the passing boats. Quiet area with plenty of supermarkets / shops in immediate vicinity . A super house .

Dear Anders and family! Thank you so much for your lovely comments, we truly appreciate! As for the Wifi/WLAN, it is however neither slow nor unstable. Claude is an IT- and network engineer who works a lot remotely over the Internet. Claude is also the person who spends more time than anyone else at this property and an unstable Internet connection wouldn't be an option for us since we need it for work. The WiFi/WLAN works flawlessly inside the house and in a 60 feet (about 20 meters) perimeter around it. This is the normal range for a single access point. Since the backyard is so large, currently not all outdoor areas are covered yet by the WiFi/WLAN. We are planning to add additional WLAN access points just for the outdoor areas in August 2016 to optimally cover all remaining areas.
