Are the pools and amenities open?
Yes - the resort is fully open, including all pools and beach boardwalk.

How much is it to reserve?
The first payment of approximately half the total is due upon reservation, with the remainder due 2 weeks before check in.

Are there resort fees at Destin West?
No. There are no additional fees other than those clearly listed: cleaning fee, refundable damage deposit and the VRBO fee (100% of that fee goes to VRBO). Other listings may charge additional reservation fees or mandatory insurance. We don't do that.

Are discounts available?
No - rates are upfront and based on the season. To save everyone time and hassle, the rates are as shown. They are generally the same or lower than similar properties.

Which building is this unit in?
Destin West has 5 buildings - Pelican, Sandpiper, Heron, Osprey and Gulfside. This unit is in the Pelican building on the bay side. The beach is directly across the street, accessible via skybridge. All buildings are a very short walk from each other. You have full access the all amenities in the complex except the Gulf Side fitness center.

Is there a fitness center?
No. At this time, the fitness center is not available.

What is the cancellation policy?
If your plans change, we ask that you cancel within 30 days of check-in for a full refund. A 50% refund is issued within 14 days. However, if we can get another guest to take your reservation, you will be issued a full refund. We don't want to keep your money if you don't get your vacation.

Where is Destin West Beach and Bay Resort located?
This is the first resort on the west side of the Destin Bridge. This location is very close to the Emerald Coast Convention Center and is easy access to Destin as well as Fort Walton Beach, which tends to be less crowded during peak times. Getting to Haborwalk Village is very easy from this side of the bridge.
