Buckhorn Cabin was originally built in 1790 in a small town in Kentucky. In 1995, the cabin was relocated and meticulously reconstructed on a private, tree-covered lot just three short blocks from everything downtown Fredericksburg has to offer! This original log cabin is loaded with Hill Country charm and amenities, making it the perfect location for anyone looking to experience authentic small-town charm and convenience.

Inside the cabin is a spacious bedroom with a King bed and an ensuite bath, featuring a rainwater shower-head. The main living area is home to an original rock wood-burning fireplace, vaulted ceilings, seating for your whole group, and a kitchenette with a breakfast nook! Upstairs is an open loft with an additional king bed, accessed by a ladder, original to the 1790s construction.

Outside, you'll find a large front porch with dual rocking chairs, a private hot tub, old-growth oak trees, and a stocked koi pond with a water feature. All the peace and quiet of a Hill Country homestead, paired with all the charm and amenities one expects at their home away from home!

Due to the Hill Country location of our rentals, you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Raccoons, Squirrels, Possum, Birds (including Hawks), ETC). Please be aware of your surroundings, take caution while driving at night, and supervise your children at all times while they are outdoors. In addition, all properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee pests or bugs will not be visible. This includes but is not limited to: ants, snakes, spiders, scorpions, beetles/roaches/water-bugs, mice, or flies.

- Quiet Time is from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am, per City Ordinance
- If we are called due to complaints violating Quiet Time:
1st Offense will result in a $250 fine.
2nd Offense will result in a $500 fine.
If police are called, you are responsible for any fines or fees issued with the citation or warning. If police are called there will be a $500 fine, even if no citation is issued.

This little cabin is nestled just off of Fredricksburg main drag making walking around town very easy. Step back into the 1800s (with modern updating and high end decor).The place is really nice and clean. The property manger was prompt in responding to any question I had. And I’d definitely be back if I go back to Fredricksburg!

Everything was excellent; location, the cabin, very comfy bed, and we loved the hot tub! Although a minor issue, I will say with the lights in the HT not working & the solar lamps out, it was very dark & difficult to access the tub in the side yard.

Very charming log cabin. Unique and fun. Supper clean and tactfully decorated. Outdoor areas are great. Cool koi pond, beautiful yard with rope swing. Hot clean and worked well. The street is quaint with lots of beautiful and well taken care of homes. Easy walk to restaurants, shopping, bars, entertainment. A/C worked great and it was summer. Kitchen is a mini fridge and microwave. We weren’t planning to do any cooking anyway.

Beautiful cabin and property

We loved every second! We stayed here to be walking distance to Main Street and then we ended up just hanging out at the cabin most of the time. I didn’t even realize that there were 2 beds/bedrooms from the listing and the cabin was quite large. We loved the fireplace, but firewood/starters are not included so make sure to bring your own! We really enjoyed the hot tub, it was very clean and the temp was perfect… we also had a couple of neighbor kitties visit us everyday! One even tried to come inside lol… the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was nice, although I could see it being a bit of a problem if there were 2 couples staying there since the toilet doesn’t have its own room. It did get a bit cold in the bathroom as well(it was freezing outside). Overall, wonderful stay and we would stay again!

This was our first trip to Fredericksburg and won’t be the last. What a beautiful cabin and setting. We enjoyed our time on the porch with the view of the amazing trees and koi pond, so relaxing. Beds and linens were so comfortable. This cabin is very tastefully decorated, I would call it a little bougie. We absolutely loved the experience!

Buckhorn cabin

It’s a beautiful old log cabin that needs a little attention. Recliners for watching tv would be a huge plus. Cute little Koi pond that needs serious cleaning especially the filters. Need more light in the bathroom. We had a great trip and the manager promptly addressed the issue about the hot tub not working.

Super easy to rent. Great location. HVAC struggles to cool first floor bedroom. Saw a couple cockroaches. Tub doesn’t drain worth a crap so you’re taking a shower in what amounts to a bath. The whole bathtub area is a disaster. It’s falling in and has mold and needs to be re done. Given the price, I was really disappointed.

Anniversary getaway 30 yrs.

We were very happy with the cabin , everything was very clean and great. I only have one complaint was going to use jacuzzi tub rinsed it all out and filled it just above the sprayer holes turned the pump on and it blew out mold and gunk into the water so un able to use it and hot water was barely warm . So the tub filter or pump should be turned on and cleaned but otherwise very satisfied with the place.

Perfect location and amazing character

This was the perfect place for a cozy winter weekend away. We bundled up and we’re walking distance to Main Street then returned to a fire and cozy beds. Can’t wait to come back again!!

Cute and rustic place in great location

The cabin was in walking distance of everything and had great amenities. Cute decor that was blended glam/nice with the rustic setting. Great shower. No issues at all. The temp was great, but I was glad they provided multiple fans to make it extra comfy. Didn’t use the hot tub but it was a good option to have. Will be back!

When we arrived we were looking forward to a dip in the outdoor jacuzzi. The water in the tub was filmy and dirty. Not usable. Not good. The air conditioning was inadequate to cool the whole house. The loft bedroom was particularly warm throughout the stay. The provided floor fans made it barely tolerable. There are no curtains on front windows. Not suitable for those that desire more privacy. The bed mattress on the second floor loft is horrible. We sank into middle of the bed. We should have guessed that this stay would be disappointing. The first thing we noticed was that the grass was long and not recently mowed. The place needs work if the owner expects to get the rental prices asked.

A Perfect Fredericksburg Stay

This is an old-fashioned, cedar cabin, with a loft, a dining/kitchen area, a prime room & a bathroom. It is perfectly designed and perfectly appointed. You feel like you are living in the 1860s but with the amenities of 2021.

Really cool place, great location

We loved the cabin and the property and this is in a great location. Hot tub was nice and hot. Only issue we had is the shower had a very slow drain, which kind of ruined the showering experience. Would really recommend this gets fixed as otherwise, it was a great experience.
